Job Summary

The VP, Quality and Compliance will be responsible for helping the company minimize regulatory and legal risk associated with its market-leading point of care communication solutions. In addition, this individual will serve as an internal auditor that validates that functional area teams are following documented processes and controls as well as contractual and other legal requirements. Finally, this individual will run point on analyzing any internal quality issue, developing a remediation plan including the development of processes and controls to prevent reoccurrence, and where appropriate, drafting communication to any impacted parties.


The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Quality and Compliance role at a digital healthcare marketing/media company. Any additional experience working for a U.S. pharmaceutical company would be a plus.


What You Will Do

  • Develop a deep understanding of client business strategies and regulatory requirements for marketing of Rx and OTC products.
  • Ensure required policies and procedures are documented, regularly reviewed, and updated as appropriate.
  • Ensure functional teams are complying with documented internal policies, processes and controls and that the company is in compliance with all applicable industry regulatory requirements.
  • Establish internal audit program across business to 1) ensure compliance with contractual requirements, internal policies and processes; and 2) improve quality.
  • Drive culture of quality and compliance throughout the company.
  • Manage inbound vendor assessment requests from clients, partnering with business teams and project managing through completion.
  • Coordinate response to quality audits required by clients or other external partners.
  • Deliver audit reports, including clearly written recommendations that effectively communicate identified issues and their related corrective actions.
  • Partner with Legal during contracting process to ensure that the final Client Terms & Conditions aligns with Patient Point’s internal business processes and controls.
  • Ensure appropriate training is provided and develop supporting documentation that confirms required training has been completed.

What We Need

  • 10+ years’ experience in digital healthcare marketing compliance, providing support to businesses on pharma advertising and promotional laws and regulations, or 10+ years in comparable role in US listed Pharma, Life Sciences, health tech company or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working on Alliance for Audited Media (AAM) or BPA audits.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience advising on the PhRMA Code.

Desired Qualifications

  • Legal or other graduate degree.
  • Six Sigma, PMP or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of healthcare marketing-related business practices, including advertising, copyright, privacy, and technology.
  • HITRUST and HIPAA expertise.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working on Media Ratings Council (MRC).
  • Strong knowledge of and experience advising on statutes, regulations, and guidance documents applicable to commercial operations and medical affairs activities, including research and interpretation of the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.

  • Ability to work effectively with business partners, simultaneously manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with consistently high quality of work product.
  • Time management and organization skills to handle negotiation and execution of multiple Company initiatives.
  • Experience working with senior business and marketing leadership, including General Counsel, Corporate Counsel, CEO, CMO, CRO.
  • Strong working relationships with Account, Creative, Strategy, Data, and Delivery teams.
