In addition, weāre hard at work creating casino and sports betting games for distribution to casino and sportsbook operators in the legal U.S. and international iGaming markets.
In this position, you work with executive leadership on the business side to create and execute the path forward for Engineering (and IT) to meet the company goals and requirements. You will work closely with the Product group to manage staffing. You oversee all IT/hosting infrastructure from both an implementation and cost standpoint. You will handle personal management for all team leads in Engineering from performance reviews to hiring and firing.Ā
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with PM, QA, Server Dev, Client Dev, and Design to ensure high quality and on-time delivery of our most critical projects
- Remove obstacles to maximize our engineering throughput and quality
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the mobile team
- Develop and grow a diverse team through effective recruiting, mentoring, coaching, and retention strategies for key talents in a highly competitive environment
- Motivate, coach, and develop team members ensuring a strong team where all feel heard and engaged
- Developing standards and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met and consistent
- Preparing and optimizing budgets
- Recommending technological developments and improvements in inefficiency
- Improve our tech stack, tools, and processes
- Participate and lead discussions and brainstorms to contribute ideas and offer feedback
Qualifications:
- Extensive (8+ Years) experience in Mobile App Development, including both at individual contributor and Engineering Leadership levels
- A background in mobile development (iOS and/or Android), and a natural curiosity about learning new technologies
- Strong command of mobile engineering and architecture best practices
- Strong leadership abilities, proven track record of enabling a team to move mountains
- Experience in recruiting engineers and contributors
- Proven capabilities managing geographically dispersed technical teams
- A deep understanding of engineering process and methodology, including which parts of to use and when as teams scale
- Strong product sense with a keen eye for detail in UX and design
- Extensive experience in working with stakeholders to create hiring strategies to develop quality teams
- Previous working experience in software design and developing customer-orientated platforms
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- Must be knowledgeable about industry trends, best practices, and change management
