Your Role In Helping Us Shape The Future
Transform the customer experience by driving the team in design, development, and execution of large breakthrough innovation initiatives that will reshape Intelsat's offerings and seamlessly integrate satellites and other space-based platforms into the global telecommunications fabric. You will leverage Intelsat's existing core competencies and internal and external technology and business innovation to plan and execute key end-to-end infrastructure projects mixing innovative space, ground, and software technologies.
Are you up to the challenge?

• Bring leadership to the planning and implementation of ambitious, innovative, space and ground infrastructure projects and foster a dynamic team culture required for employees to translate disruptive ideas into infrastructure that enables customer-friendly business solutions.
• Develop and rationalize technology elements into integrated, end-to-end solutions, leveraging resources within your team and across the company, assessing and prioritizing resources in line with business and innovation strategy.
• Undertake strategic network and service architecture development and planning, manage system trade-offs, drive the technical decisions to accomplish the company's vision and to enhance the customer experience, leveraging 5G, cloud and secure networking building blocks.
• Support business model and product innovations and map those visions into the infrastructure, facilitating efficiencies across business unit initiatives.
• Deliver concise and KPI-oriented communications and recommendations to support strategic technology, development, and business planning discussions with leadership.
• Identify and support strategic partnerships and vendors relationships within the ecosystem to accelerate the development of the projects as necessary.
• Manage the performance and integration of strategic network innovation programs into the existing fabric, to ensure capabilities are delivered within the budget and schedule the meets the needs of the business.
• Track trends across the industry, manage and transform the team structure, skillsets, and processes as needed to stay ahead of the technology curve.

Can you drive these processes?
Seek out, develop and maintain strategic internal and external partnerships that will drive the development and roll-out of disruptive innovative offerings, ensuring alignment on Intelsat's strategic roadmap, product positioning and commercial strategies.
Coordinate regular and consistent communication with internal stakeholders. Develop and maintain feedback loop to ensure the projects are aligned with market opportunity and demand.
You Should Definitely Have

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 15 years of strong communication system innovation experience, including developing and executing complex, large scale, mission critical systems
• Thorough knowledge of the architecture, economics, and operations of telecommunications networks
• Strong knowledge of software-defined networks, cloud technologies, and security management systems
• Solid foundation in systems engineering practices, including experience leading teams responsible for system analysis, simulations, and trade-offs
• Experience leading a cross functional team to drive results and meet deadlines, instill enthusiasm and creative thinking
• Experience interfacing with the engineering, operations and commercial teams, and a thorough understanding of the businesses of fixed and mobile communication network customers across global markets
• Concise and crisp communications - Proficiency with Microsoft Office - Driving KPIs
• Strong managerial, analytical and critical-thinking skills
• Strategic enterprise leadership - ability to represent and communicate strategic technical initiatives to senior management and external industry audiences.
• This role is subject to ITAR/EAR; candidates must be a US Person (this includes US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Individual such as an asylee or refugee).

It Would Be Nice If You Had

• MS in Electrical Engineering/ coupled with an MBA
• Vast knowledge of the satellite industry and both ground space and ground, software/cloud architectures, OSS and BSS systems
• Expertise in terrestrial wireless networks, mobile networks, 3GPP systems and standards
• Experience working in a global company
