As the Vice President of Total Rewards reporting into the Chief People Officer, you'll help take Bonterra's Total Rewards portfolio to the next level. In this role, you will partner closely with the People team and business leaders to continuously improve and deliver a comprehensive Rewards strategy that enables the company to attract, engage and retain talented and engaged employees at all levels. The ideal candidate is someone who has deep-proven experience in executive compensation, broad based short- and long-term incentive plan designs, and job architecture implementation. Our successful candidate will leverage external leading practices and data driven insights to make informed decisions as we continue to build a foundation and complete the integration of Bonterra's legacy entities into one company.
- Lead all compensation offerings and continuously improve compensation plan designs in context of the business and our ongoing evolution.
- Partner closely with People Business Partners, their client groups and Finance to ensure business needs are met.
- Co-lead job architecture and supporting processes that can scale with the business.
- Oversee Compensation Consultant relationship.
- Coordination with Payroll and Benefits function.
- Support union activity as needed. (Note: Bonterra has three collective bargaining agreements).
- Maintain a pulse on how compensation programs are received by employees.
- Oversee Payroll and its integration with Workday.
- Partner closely with Talent Performance team to ensure close tie between pay and performance.
- Strong commitment to stakeholder engagement, change management and communication.
- Where possible, launch, learn and iterate resulting in an experimentation or pilot approach v. big bang.
- Provide regular updates at Quarterly Business Reviews and Compensation Committee meetings.

- A proven background designing and implementing end to end compensation processes, broad based and executive incentive plans and related change management.
- A successful track record of leading teams in a fast-paced environment supporting employees in U.S., Canada, UK and Australia.
- Experience managing various job architecture and Payroll consolidation projects.
- Comfortable communicating with employees at all levels and training/coaching leaders.
- Experience setting up and running operating mechanisms to ensure from design to delivery stakeholders are engaged and there are no surprises.
- Experience preparing for and presenting at Quarterly Business Reviews and Board Compensation Committee meetings.
