- Initial appointment is conditioned upon a satisfactory pre-employment adjudication. This includes fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing. Continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of a background investigation

- If selected, you may be required to complete a one year probationary period.
- You must meet all qualification requirements upon the closing date of this announcement.
Qualifications
GS-09 Specialized Experience: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level. Specialized experience is defined as having experience working directly with individuals who have experienced victimization - to include intimate partner/domestic violence, child exploitation (including cases involving sexual violence and child abuse imagery) and human trafficking performing the following types of duties: advocating on behalf of crime victims; providing information to victims in regards to status of cases and results of trials; providing in court support during hearings; and obtaining services and assistance for victims.
OR
Education: One of the following types of education in a related field (e.g., Criminal Justice): a Master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.B. or J.D., if related. Education at the graduate level must be in an accredited college or university and must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position.
OR
Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. In order to qualify based on a combination, graduate education must be in excess of 1 full year.
To be eligible at the GS-11 level, you must meet at least ONE of the following conditions, as defined below: Specialized Experience, Education, OR a combination of Education and Experience.
GS-11 Specialized Experience: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level. Specialized experience is defined as providing complex assistance and liaison services to crime victims to facilitate prosecutions. This specialized experience is defined as experience performing the following types of duties: experience assisting victims in by serving as liaison with prosecutors; analyzing victim-witness communication needs; providing routine resource referrals to crime victims and their families; providing extensive assistance to victims and their families in navigating victim assistance programs and resources available and the effectiveness of these programs; and assisting in conducting workshops or meetings with victim-witness subject-matter specialists and related officials.

Education: One of the following types of education in a related field (e.g., Criminal Justice): a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate degree; OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.M., if related. Education at the graduate level must be in an accredited college or university and must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position.

Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. Education

Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above education requirements if you can show that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States. Payment of relocation expenses will not be authorized.
