The CS Video Director will function as the day-to-day director of video services for the Boston office, overseeing the intake of all video projects, facilitating project kick-off meetings, shooting, editing, and managing other types of production requests such as, but not limited to, animation and audio recording. The Boston Video Director will also act as the "go to" person for all questions concerning the video process and production. The Director will be the team's subject matter expert with in-depth knowledge of the video process and a willingness to educate others so future expectations can be efficiently managed. The CS Video Director will demonstrate strong senior-level video production abilities, the ability to manage large projects while also managing daily responsibilities, and a proven and effective style for working with business leaders and marketing managers.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
1. Video Production
- Manage project intake and kick-off meetings for appropriate level of projects.
- Plan for video shoots, providing storyboards, wireframes, etc. Gather all necessary approvals.
- Set lights and camera(s), test for final filming either in the Boston studio or on location.
- Manage video shoot capturing all footage and downloading to CS computer system for editing.
- Provide animation or other specialty work or hire outside support.
- Complete editing and provide final file in proper format.
2. Subject Matter Expert
- When necessary, speak to clients, senior management, and/or marketing managers about the video production process.
- Identify difficult projects and strategize on how to effectively manage situations and reach resolution.
- Be the "face" of the Creative Services video business. Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal clients and business leaders.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with outside consultants/vendors.
3. Project management & CS/BBH processes
- Manage project workload by meeting all deadlines and following CS protocol.
- Adhere to all CS processes, maintaining records for each project and hourly tracking database.
- Escalate issues to CS management when necessary.
Desired Qualifications:
- BFA, BA, or BS degree
- 5-8 years video production and editing, video project management experience, financial industry experience preferred, and a full understanding of customer service.
- Work experience in a corporate environment
- MicroSoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- High-level experience with Adobe applications
- Video & digital media experience, Adobe Premier, a plus
- Motion graphics animation experience
- Still photography experience a plus
- High-level written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform the technical responsibilities with a high-level of competence.
- Ability to perform long-range tasks while experiencing short-term interruptions.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Willing and able to take direction from clients and senior staff.
- Ability to give and take constructive criticism.
- Must enjoy a consistently fast-paced and challenging work atmosphere.
