Video Editor and Motion Graphics Designer

PRPL creative team is made up of multi-disciplinary artists who solve big problems, create beautiful experiences and put users first. As we continue to grow and expand, we've identified the need for a Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer. At PRPL, you'll create a wide variety of video products from simple, 2d text animations to more complex long form video content. Successful creatives on our team have strong portfolios, positive attitudes and an endless desire to explore ideas that push design forward.

Reports To: Design Director

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and create compelling motion graphic & video designs for both PRPL and our clients.
• Build videos incorporating stock and raw footage, motion design, sound design, and music.
• Create static imagery and motion assets for various projects.
• Ideate and drive video and motion concepts, participating in brainstorming sessions in partnership with cross-functional teams (Strategy, Development, PMO, etc).
• Steer the planning behind video projects, whether we are handling internally or working with an outside vendor. This may entail mood boards, storyboards and other pre-production efforts.
• Oversee and participate in a wide range of content capture and video shoots, as requested.
• Assist in creating video assets for new business as needed.
• Stay up to date with developments and generate new ideas related to design, video, and multimedia.

Qualifications

• Current reel and online portfolio
• Strong design style, layout composition, and creative design solutions
• 3+ years working in video editing or motion graphics, preferably in an agency setting
• Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, Final Cut and Photoshop
• Thorough knowledge of timing, motion and continuity
• Creative mind and storytelling skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with or without supervision
• Functional knowledge of Apple products including but not limited to Pages, Keynote, and Numbers, as well as Microsoft Office
• Strong oral and written communication skills
