Job Description
The Video Editor/Artist is a member of the Drake Cooper Creative team, helping to create and edit videos for all marketing and advertising channels. Reporting to the Creative Production Director, the Video Editor/Artist performs multiple functions in the production process: traditional broadcast commercial edits, custom-type animations, motion graphics, music selection, sound design-even filming/capturing assets for short form and social pieces. Above all, the Video Editor/Artist has a passion for creating original and engaging video content. They work with multiple teams within the agency and have an understanding of storytelling that allows them to incorporate the visions and needs of those respective teams into finished work. The Video Editor/Artist also has knowledge of agency operations and the advertising industry in order to help connect work to business objectives. They are empathetic and helpful collaborators who can work well in a true team environment.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct themselves on-set (when necessary) in an appropriate manner that demonstrates value to clients
- Knows production processes to efficiently deliver consistent quality
- Ensure client assets are backed up and organized
- Collaborate with other agency disciplines to achieve client goals
- Eager to learn from others within the agency
- Elevates the good work and ideas of others and celebrates their achievements
- Meets timelines in delivering a quality product
- Review timelines and check in on progress regularly with the Executive Producer and Creative Production Director
Skills:
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator, as well as the ability to convert files from Art Directors and Production Designers to be used for video production needs./
- Working knowledge of motion graphics and ability to create 2D motion graphics
- Operation and maintenance of an orderly edit suite and adapting it to project needs
- Working knowledge of production processes from conception to completion and ability to communicate them effectively to the agency team
- Knowledge of camera systems (RED, Blackmagic, Canon, etc)-the ability to light and compose video and still shots a plus
- Knowledge of current industry trends as it relates to video production
- Ability to work with music and work it into video pieces with impeccable timing and taste
- Strong ability to collaborate with agency and clients throughout post-production, as well as willingness and flexibility to pivot in approach and execution as needed
- Strong organizational skills to manage all production assets
- Working knowledge of production equipment, set etiquette, and shoot processes
- Ability to build and foster client relationships and gain an understanding of their goals
- Knowledge of how to integrate the client's brand and product into storytelling and video pieces
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of relevant production experience. Commercial production experience preferred
- Ad Agency experience is a plus
- Solid multi-tasking skills
- Experience with clients in video environments
