Video Specialist - Science Education

Blueprint Test Prep is seeking a part-time Video Specialist with proficiency in video processing and basic video editing to contribute to the continued excellence of our best-in-class test preparation products. In this role, you will work with a team of highly accomplished educators, video editors, and producers to adjust recorded video content, upload it to our website for distribution, storyboard science videos, and shoot studio video content. This is a part-time, remote-hybrid position. Must be located in the greater Los Angeles area and able to travel to our Culver City Studio as needed, depending on projects. The role will report to our Post-Production Supervisor and has a dual pay structure at two fixed rates of $17.50 per hour and $25.00 per hour.
What You'll Do
You will be responsible for the daily processing and upload of our live class recordings to the blueprint platform, storyboarding videos, and the occasional studio video shoots. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Downloading recordings
• Processing recordings to match our standards of upload quality
• Uploading recordings into our system with appropriate labels and tags
• Create educational, engaging, and fun science storyboards for the video editing team
• Assist with studio recordings by operating cameras, prompter, etc. in conjunction with our studio team

You will be successful in this position if you keep to our upload schedule and timeline, raise any issues in a timely manner, ensure that all videos you upload are completed to our standards, make studio call times, properly operate studio equipment, and generate accurate and engaging storyboards. Who You Are

• Ability to devote a consistent amount of time to video uploads throughout the week to keep with our upload schedule (1-3 hours/day, 5 to 6 days per week)
• Comfortable with editing and uploading videos
• Technical competency to learn new software systems and style standards and apply them across projects
• Strong desire to help students succeed and provide them high-quality recordings with which to do so u0026ndash; we're here because we want our students to meet their goals, and we want you to share that passion
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment
• Preference for skill with video editing or production and/or prior video upload experience. Familiar using Zoom, Cyberduck, Handbrake, and Quicktime
• Preference given to candidates with a background or curiosity about Biology, Physics, Chemistry, or Science related field
