The VIP Support Engineer will report into the IT Operations Manager and is responsible for providing on-demand VIP technology support for WPP Creative executives and visiting clients. Â The role is also expected to provide general deskside IT and AV/VC support for various WPP events on as-needed basis. Must be comfortable working with outsourced IT suppliers
What you'll be doing:
- Deliver world class technology support services to WPP Creative Agency executives and visiting clients, operating within predefined structure, methodologies, and standards set by WPP IT
- Support hourly billable employees to ensure no billing opportunities are lost due.
- Log all IT engagements into a ticketing system to ensure IT demand and performance data can be reported upon
- Ensures that WPP and WPP IT policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Maintain open lines of communication with the local Facilities Management team, WPP business leaders, and IT leaders to ensure all upcoming business events are properly supported from IT/AV/VC perspective.
- Desktop/laptop tech support, both Mac and PC. Strong macOS X experience is a must.
- Laptop builds based on WPP specifications for both Mac and Windows hardware.
- Support local and remote VIP’s and staff in an efficient, courteous, and expeditious manner.
- Support IP phones (MS Teams), printers, wireless, VPN, etc.
- Support mobile devices, including iPhone and Android.
- Respond to move, add, and change requests.
- Utilize the Help Desk ticketing system to respond to and prioritize requests for service per company SLA and procedures.
- Facilitate documentation for inventory control, purchasing, receiving, and auditing.
- Monitor systems used to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and partner with external IT supplier to troubleshoot and remediate LAN & Wireless Network issues
Who you'll be working with:
The VIP Support Engineer will report to the IT Operations Manager at our 200 5th Avenue campus, and provide support for users at this site.
What you'll need:
- MUST HAVE BOTH MAC and Windows PC EXPERIENCE.
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and proactive spirit with a desire to learn and grow.
- Able to always uphold a positive attitude, even under stressful conditions.
- Broad knowledge of technology developments and trends.
- Proactive analytical expertise and problem-solving approach.
- Experience supporting 100+ people and remote staff.
- Proven ability to handle challenging, rapid-response user support.
- Willing to learn new technical skills set.
- Creativity in problem solving.
