Athena is looking for a talented Visual / Motion Designer with a passion for being a creative partner. This person will function as a key member of the creative staff, they will play an integral role in the conceptual development of content. We are looking for someone who is brand orientated who can bring a new perspective to the table and take ideas to the next level. The spirited, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment Athena operates in requires someone who can not only hit the ground running but thrive while doing it. This job is based in Philadelphia, PA but has the opportunity to be fully remote, eastern standard working hours required.

Requirements

Specific project responsibilities:

• Has an energetic and optimistic attitude and cares about creating powerful work.

• Has a self-motivated, proactive, strategic mentality.
• Combines campaign concepts and high-level visual design.

• Thinks conceptually and creates beautiful visual work with motion always in mind.
• Breathes life into digital campaigns across various media, mainly film, video, and social media.
• Generates storyboards, style frames, and motion studies to bring concepts to life.
• Demonstrates various animation styles, including work with type, while maintaining best practices for the discipline.
• Breathes life into digital campaigns across various media, mainly film, video, and social media.

Has experience with:

• Short-form animations for digital campaigns
• Long-form narrative pieces to illustrate complex ideas
• Animated user journeys
• Motion packages with a strong sense of brand identity
• Communicating with producers to set realistic timelines
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator), Cinema4D, and OctaneRender
• Proficiency in video editing (Premiere)
• Maintaining well-organized project files and folders
• Emerging animation trends and techniques
• Creating, managing, and producing digital design solutions and assets for various uses: websites, social media graphics, digital display (HTML5 banners), brand campaigns, and photograph

The skills and experience you should have:

• 5+ years experience

• Previous agency experience is necessary, ideally supporting a corporate brand

• Experience in Social Purpose and/or Innovation/Tech storytelling and brand work

• Demonstrated attention to detail, personal organization, and interpersonal skills

• Solid organization and time management skills

• Desire to work in a fast paced, innovative, and collaborative environment
