Summary

The Brand Experience team is a young organization within Simplot, comprised of cross-functional, collaborative, and creative individuals. Our goal is to create innovative solutions that support the brand throughout many of company's business units and their customer-facing assets.

To help us achieve our mission, we are hiring a Visual Design Lead to join our team.

As a Visual Design Lead within Simplot Brand Experience, your goal is to create high quality visual designs that cross channels from web, app, printed and promotional material, that act as a seamless extension of the J.R. Simplot brand. This role is involved with the project throughout the design and development cycle and works closely with the client along with local and virtual teams to ensure standards of excellence.

The Visual Design Lead is expected to have a solid knowledge base of creative processes and language. A mastery of the entire Adobe Creative Suite as well as UI design in Figma is paramount due to the multiple channels you will work across. A professional manner is essential, as is the ability to think on your feet. The desire to seek to add value to every project and to the discipline is crucial. You have experience working within the Agile development methodology and are a self-starter looking for an exciting challenge.

Key Responsibilities

• Create designs that are on brand and follow a project's creative vision and business strategy while putting the user first.
• Collaborate with other groups like developers and other designers (both internal and external) to deliver high-quality creative assets.
• Contribute to and lead improvements in our creative process and capabilities.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends.
• Communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
• Works across multiple projects involving internal and external parties
• Ensure consistency across our products & integrations by adhering to our style guide and making updates when necessary.
• Provide oversight working with vendors to ensure that designs are consistent and follow our defined style guide.
• Excellent communication and organization skills. You will be expected to work across multiple projects involving internal and external parties

Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

5+ years related experience and/or training

Required Certifications

Other Information

• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign)
• Mastery of Figma
