The Opportunity:

The Visual Design team aims to build a brand system that allows all designers and stakeholders to quickly leverage visuals and graphics in a scalable and impactful manner. We craft delightful illustrations, graphics and design campaigns that cater to the needs of various squads within postman helping to amplify Postman's vision and story. As a core member of the team, you will help us achieve this mission and raise the bar of our brand. You will help us ideate and create visuals that are beautiful, intuitive, accessible, and interactive.You will actively contribute to our design system library and help with its adoption among different teams.

What You’ll Do:

• The Visual Design team has designers divided into 2 groups. You will be working with the design-system team. On a daily basis, you will be:
• Working closely with Product designers and the marketing squads to ideate, create, prototype, and ship amazing artwork and graphics.
• Creating pixel-perfect mocks with detailed interactions and working hand-in-hand with engineers to ship the approved ideas to product.
• Contributing to our design system by providing feedback on the existing UI and visuals and adding to our Figma library of graphics through regular maintenance and upkeep.
• Consistent storytelling across the brand through understanding context providing guidance to non-design teams. 
• Clearly and effectively articulating design decisions and best practices during design demos and reviews

About You:

• Based in the greater Boston area or at a minimum, on the East Coast
• Experience in graphic design, illustration and a strong understanding of user interface
• Willing to ideate multiple variations with prototyping first mindset
• A portfolio showcasing excellent visual design or graphic design skills
• Knows, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, Powerpoint and Google slides
• At least 1-2 years of experience as a visual designer/graphic designer
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment 
• Thorough understanding of design principles, interaction design, typography, and color systems
• Able to work in a very collaborative manner, & operate on peer feedback - important to have a growth mindset and willingness to listen, learn and continuously improve
• Able to respectfully voice your opinion and be motivated to push the Postman brand to the next level

What Can Give You An Edge?

• Knowledge of Postman, the product and understanding of software technologies
• Has worked with advertising or marketing campaigns
• Ability to share knowledge through presentations and workshops
• Adobe After Effects or other animation software
• Experience designing for different types of brands
• Experience designing for international audiences
• Experience working in a remote team

What Else?

This role is based in the greater Boston, MA area and the reasonably estimated salary for this role ranges from $80,000 to $120,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition to our pay-on-performance philosophy, we offer a comprehensive set of benefits, including full medical coverage, flexible PTO, wellness reimbursement, and a monthly lunch stipend. Salaries will vary outside of the listed metropolitan areas & the U.S.
