We're seeking a Visual Designer — Contractor to drive creative output across a range of applications — with a strong passion and background in visual design, including demonstrated expertise in digital experience design.

Who we’re seeking:

Designit is looking for a Visual Designer – Contractor to join the in-house Design Team at one of our clients, a leading financial services company. In this role, you’ll have support from Designit operational and creative leads, while collaborating closely with other embedded Visual and UX Designers, Copywriters, Product Managers, and Design and Studio Leadership to merge your aesthetic with strategic goals and client expectations. Our Designers frequently present work to clients so talking through your designs should be second nature. The contract duration is 3-months, with a high probability to extend if mutually agreed upon.

What you’ll need:

• Minimum of 3 years full-time experience with visual design in digital mediums
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe CS (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Intermediate to advanced skill in digital/online experiences using Sketch; Figma, and/or Adobe XD nice to have
• Outstanding portfolio showing forward-thinking design applied to a diverse array of marketing and brand projects (must have online portfolio to be considered)
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
• Extreme attention to detail—right down to the pixel
• Solid understanding of layout, typography, hierarchy, color theory and other design principles

Specific to this contract role:

• Experience prototyping in Sketch
• Knowledge in designing for desktop, tablet and mobile
• Ability to work with a design system and component library within Sketch and align to design requirements and specs
• Experience utilizing Invision, a DSM (Design System Manager) for organizing and presenting prototypes
• General understanding of accessibility and how it relates to UI/UX
