Position Summary
This is a contract position with a potential to move to full time Visual Experience Designer creates impactful, high-quality visuals that bring behavioral science to life within Lirio’s Precision Nudging programs that move people to take action toward better health. The Visual Designer relies on user-centered design principles to translate behavioral science concepts into images that reinforce and support the written content in emails, text messages, app-based experiences, and other formats. The Visual Designer also supports other design needs within Lirio, including the creation of visual assets for research studies, marketing collateral, internal presentations, etc. This role is highly collaborative and works with content designers, behavioral designer, product owners and designers, UX researchers, and app developers to maximize the impact of visual content on patient behavior and experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design Production (50%)
· Produce original illustrations based on visual design plans.
· Selectively introduce new visual styles in designs to support specific research, client, or program outcome goals
· Refine visuals based on client feedback, brand guidelines, or clinical considerations
· Incorporate illustrations into original compositions and designs for use in behavioral
design deliverables, email messages, text messages, web pages, and videos.
· Produce original animations
· Support creation of visual assets and document design for discovery reports, presentations, behavioral science blog posts, manuscripts, etc.
Visual Asset Management (40%)
· Build and maintain design asset libraries using Lirio’s content management system
· Manage a digital asset library external to CMS
Other (10%)
· Edit internal and external deliverables
· Document internal processes
· Regular and reliable attendance

Education and Experience
- Experience implementing visual direction across multiple communication mediums and projects
- Experience creating illustrations and infographics
- Experience presenting work to stakeholders.
- Ability to understand and incorporate design, marketing psychology, behavioral science, and storytelling principles into visuals
- Solid portfolio demonstrating exceptional graphic design principles and technical proficiency
- Experience producing animation nice to have but not required
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator and Photoshop)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- Figma a plusExperience with content management systems (CMS) a plus
- Understands and stays up-to-date on current design trends and techniques
