Job Description

Reporting to the Visual Merchandise Manager, this role will coordinate and implement all AMIRI’s visual merchandising and display functions for retail boutiques and wholesale accounts on the West Coast, including sales staff training visual merchandising guidelines and displays, maintenance of visual standards and oversee seasonal installations for special events and creative window projects. The Visual Merchandiser, West Coast will balance art and commerce by ensuring a consistent client experience and drive brand’s values. The position is based out of our AMIRI Beverly Hills retail location.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize VM visits and store set-ups to ensure all stores and partners are updated and that the in-store product presentations are consistent to the retail strategy and visual guidelines.
  • Maintain and elevate visual displays across stores within the network, managing a consistent schedule between locations.
  • Consider localized market needs and variations including inventory levels, product delivery schedules and seasonality to maximize store business.
  • Oversee window installations, in-store seasonal creative roll outs and special projects within the network.
  • Create zoning plans/ detailed floor plans and rail mock-ups per store for remote launches.
  • Conduct weekly touch bases with store teams.
  • Training, execution and maintenance of in-store brand standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal partners including Brand, PR and communications, Store Planning, Merchandising and Operations to ensure that all corresponding business needs are addressed.
  • Develop weekly store rotation schedule based on product delivery, seasonal client traffic patterns, brand events and special projects.
  • Develop and nurture partnerships with store managers within the network to promote brand and sales driving VM presentations to enhance opportunities.
  • Knowledge of social activities and events within the region to advise on VM opportunities within the networks.
  • Support Store Planning and HQ VM on store maintenance, prop needs, store openings, renovations and retrofits.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years in Visual Merchandising, preferable with a competitive luxury brand and at least 2 years in overseeing multiple locations.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop) and Microsoft Office tools with basic photography skills. SketchUp skills are a plus.
  • Experience in executing visual merchandising initiatives, including window displays, mannequin styling, and special events.
  • Knowledge of holistic retail business concepts in buying, marketing and customer experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, a high level of autonomy and adaptability requires.
  • Acute attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through.
  • Must be very flexible with hours of work and comfortable with every changing priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours including early morning, evenings, overnights and occasional weekends.
  • 30-50% travel required. Adhoc travel at short notice may be required.
