VmWare Automation Engineer

Amentum is currently seeking a VMware Automation Engineer to support an IT Managed Services program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations, for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems.

As a member of the team, you will:

• Implement solutions integrating Rest application program interface (API) based web services.
• Eliminate defects, errors and problems with product or software development.
• Identify opportunities for automation withing software processes.
• Create automation that meet the client's needs and specifications, testing the network to ensure that it is performing as designed.
• Design and execute QA tests using scripts that automatically test functionality.
• Run tests for systems, applications, hardware, and software.
• Implement solutions integrating Rest application program interface (API) based web services.
• Provide VMWare administration plan, design, specify, deploy, and maintain systems.
• Create and maintain maintenance routines to support operational business needs and continuity of services.
• Support the client's cyber policy in all design, specification, deployment, and maintenance of systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have an Associates degree and 4 years of experience OR a High School Diploma/ GED and 7 years of experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q Clearance.
• Experience with VMware, PowerShell scripting, JavaScript
• Experience with a variety of programming languages, software, or tools to develop regular or ad-hoc queries from large datasets.
• Experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.
• Experience with UNIX, Linux, including file management, scripting, editing, and security.
• Knowledge/ experience with UNIX, Linux, and/ or Windows Operating Systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to implement solutions integrating Rest application program interface (API) based web services.
• Experience working a Data Center environment.
