Vonage Management System (VMS) Compliance Manager

Why this role matters:

Following the acquisition of Vonage by Ericsson, an exciting opportunity has arisen to create the newly formed Vonage Risk Advisory and Assurance (VRA) team. This team was previously heavily Internal Audit focused but now has a broader scope and responsibility across risk, assurance and compliance activities.

As part of the VRA team you will be the primary point of contact and interface with the Ericsson (parent company) Group Management System (EGMS) team. You will be responsible for maintaining a Vonage specific management system framework (VMS) by securing an effective understanding,  implementation of, and compliance with relevant EGMS requirements within Vonage operations. This is a newly created role which you will have the opportunity to shape and grow by applying your experience and knowledge.

The VMS Compliance Manager will report directly to the VP, VRA with a dotted line to the Ericsson Head of Management Systems.


What You Will Do:

  • Act as subject matter expert in EGMS and compliance matters for Vonage
  • Working closely with the EGMS team to determine the scope of requirements for Vonage
  • Maintain an up-to-date Vonage specific MS framework (VMS) to ensure efficiency and scale in Vonage operations and fulfillment of external requirements
  • Define an assurance roadmap and program to perform VMS related assessments aligned with Ericsson and external timelines and expectations
  • Conduct internal assessments with reference to the company’s policies and procedures:
    • Determine scope, definition and work plan
    • Conduct meetings with stakeholders
    • Prepare and conduct testing, review and analyze documents and reports as necessary
    • Prepare high quality written reports detailing findings and recommended action
    • Monitor remediation of corrective action identified
  • Facilitate annual documentation updates with functional areas
  • Recommend and support the business in implementing process / control improvements as required
  • Participate in an advisory capacity to incorporate real-time insights and recommendations into major projects, initiatives, and organizational changes as related to VMS matters
  • Interact with and participate in regular meetings with other EGMS Compliance Managers within Ericsson
  • Interact with 3rd party assessment body as needed
  • Participate in other VRA risk advisory, reviews, special projects or investigations as required
  • Build good relationships with internal team members and external auditors sharing insights gained from review across the team as needed

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Proven experience in Management System compliance, or similar activities such as a SOX compliance program
  • Experience and knowledge from working with and leading Internal Assessment, External assessments, and Management Review activities
  • Solid knowledge of the ISO standard requirements
  • Internal audit / compliance assurance qualifications
  • Experience in business transformation initiatives is a strong plus
  • Strong analytical thinking and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of working with team members at all levels within an organization
  • Strong report writing skills (including statistical analysis/data analytics is desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to prioritize and plan in a time efficient manner, including managing multiple projects at one time
  • Technology and/or Telecoms industry experience desirable
