 What you’ll do 

As the VP of Account Management with Skipify, you will play a critical role as we scale the commercial organization at Skipify. You will use your insights from customer engagements to collaborate with Product, Sales, Onboarding, and Support to continuously evolve the customer experience. This role requires a self-starter who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to directly manage accounts, and the ability to lead and grow a function. This role will be expected to hire, train and manage the Account Management function. 

Being the point-of-contact for our largest merchants and partners, you will build strong, long-term relationships with key contacts, understand their unique needs to ensure we build to solve for them, while providing them with data insights and guidance to help them grow. 

 Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with our key merchants and partners through proactive engagement, enabling them to be Skipify advocates
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients at senior levels to maximize growth within a client / client portfolio
  • Provide consultative advice to help influence and fulfill the payments strategy of digital and retail companies
  • Work closely with the technical solutions team to ensure successful onboarding 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to communicate the requirements and feedback from merchants and partners, impacting Skipify’s product roadmap
  • Report on and improve status of existing accounts to leadership 
  • This is a hybrid or remote role and will report into the Chief Commercial Officer. We have offices in San Mateo, Denver, and New York 
 Qualifications
  • 10+ years work experience in account management, customer success or a related field
  • 5+ years in an account management or success team leadership capacity
  • First-hand experience in payments from a major PSP, payment network, or payment technology company
  • Strong understanding for the checkout experience and how ecommerce businesses operate
  • Demonstrated success within a startup environment is a major plus
  • Experience managing and monitoring performance metrics across accounts and account portfolios
  • Experience building and managing a high-performing team from the ground-up is advantageous 
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed, up to 25%

Salary range of $220,000 - $275,000/yr USD. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to, skillset, depth of experience, certifications, and work locations. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
