Accounting Operations
The VP, Accounting Operations is responsible for the end-to-end identification, recording, and presentation of financial results for the organization. This role owns short to mid-term (1-3 year) strategy execution and operational direction of the accounting department to support the development of accounting processes, internal controls, decision support, and complex technical research. In addition, this role will provide strategic value leveraging trusted data while continuously improving, change enabling, and advancing operational processes, systems, and architecture.
This role ensures the protection of company assets, management of the accounting and related systems, and reporting on the financial performance of the organization, reporting directly to the Corporate Controller.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Presents organization's financial results in compliance with external regulatory standards and internal requirements.
- Oversee accounts payable and travel expense processes, ensuring controls are operating effectively.
- Develops financial controls to substantiate the existence, completeness, valuation, rights/obligations, presentation and disclosure of all assets and liabilities of the organization.
- Compiles information to generate quantitative analysis of financial results and to support management reporting and maintain accounting compliance.
- Oversee operations and optimization of general ledger, allocations, accounting translations, financial reporting, and systems controls to assure accuracy and compliance with the company's and established accounting principles.
- Develop, advise, and execute enterprise financial data strategy, process and architecture to ensure finance continuously improves data and its use to advance enterprise performance.
- Develop and collaboratively deliver strategic data-driven initiatives across the enterprise accelerating financial performance and roadmap milestones. Predict and optimize business outcomes in time to shape financial and operational performance across the enterprise.
- Performs analysis of the organization's balance sheet accounts, including reconciliations.
- Builds and maintains relationships with appropriate levels of management, communicating important accounting issues, opportunities, and/or problems that may impact the organization.
- Oversee accounting and reporting of enterprise compensation arrangements in accordance with applicable financial standards.

Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of corporate accounting operations experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15 - 20 years of corporate accounting operations experience
- University degree - BA or BS
- Master's or JD degree
- CPA license
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- High degree of problem solving and analytical skills; proven innovator
- Previous experience interacting with business leaders
- Previous experience developing and collaboratively delivering strategic data-driven initiatives across a broad corporate enterprise
- Previous leadership experience as a division head

Base Pay Range: $166,700/yr. - $277,800/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
