Work Locations: With the exception of some select roles that have in-office requirements, A+E Networks operates on a flexible model that allows for remote, hybrid or full time in office work (in certain locales).

Office locations include New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Stamford, CT.

Job Description

THE ROLE: VP, Advertising Sales

  • VP A+E Advertising Sales will manage an Account Executive overseeing multi-platform media sales and (Manager, Client Activation) who will manage support staff. The VP will work closely with the SVP/Team Leader on all aspects of running the team, as well as with the EVP and President of Ad Sales to create and execute sales strategy to take out to the marketplace. The VP will lead their team with a focus on maximizing multi-platform revenue for A+E while creatively solving clients challenges. The VP will be a collaborative, innovative thinker who thrives working in a team environment encouraging all team members to achieve revenue goals.

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Manage a team of Account Executive and (Account Management) support staff while driving revenue through execution of a unified portfolio of Linear, Digital, Advanced Advertising and Branded Content
  • Assist SVP/EVP with creating sales strategies for upfronts and lead strategy development for year around Holding Company framework focusing on yield management, new business development and proactive sales approach
  • Work with internal departments including TVE, Precision and Performance, Research, Integrated Marketing and others to help the team deliver a coordinated and cohesive strategy that is presented in the market.
  • Through diverse and inclusive employee engagement, drive employee performance, development and engagement within the marketplace
  • Set the highest standards for Sales team engagement and relationship building with their clients and be an advocate for new ways of working

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 10+ years in media industry
  • Candidate must have:
    • A comprehensive knowledge of the Media industry marketplace and current trends
    • Experience collaborating strategically with all levels of Advertisers and Advertising Agencies
    • Excellent communication, time management & organizational skills with ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
    • Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude focused on achieving the company goals

  • Strong negotiation skills, marketplace knowledge and yield optimization
  • Ability to manage, mentor and train sales team and support staff

Compensation

Annual Pay Range: $248,508 - $323,362

Annual Commission Target: $133,697 - $173,969

The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the

minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will

be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills,

competencies, location, and experience. A+E offers a competitive total compensation
