Job Overview:

As LPL increasingly expands the options by which independent minded financial advisors can affiliate with LPL, the VP, Affiliation Consulting will play an instrumental role in supporting existing advisors journey to determine “what’s next” for them. 

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and understanding both a) advisor experience; and b) strategic challenges with the education and conversions process today

  • Design, build and execute upon a proactive outreach model to existing advisors form whom it might make sense to discuss affiliation options

  • Personalized consulting for elite advisors and teams in their pre-conversion experience by facilitating end-to-end case management support alongside their current RM (when applicable)

  • Discovering an advisor’s pain points, needs and opportunities through customer interview(s) as a part of the consult services to create an impact report that analyzes outcomes for the advisor, their business, and their end-investor clients

  • Working in partnership with internal business partners to navigate model movement, including loan servicing, LE firm agreements, compliance, OBA, and marketing considerations, fee billing, compensation, Advisor Capital for underwriting

  • Level-set on expectations for conversion process and timeline and post-conversion change management

  • Research and interpret data related to LPL existing advisors model movement to address leading indicators

  • Manage and monitor cases, trends, and capabilities to inform senior executives of opportunities to strengthen the advisor experience and customer journey

  • Present executive-level reports on findings and to mitigate risk for advisor attrition

  • Lead various internal meetings with senior executives and training sessions with internal partners regarding LPL’s affiliation models.

  • Strengthen and expand the scope of our affiliation consulting program to support advisor clients through their evaluation of LPL’s affiliation models as their business evolves

  • Provide clarity to resources and capacity and bridging the gaps in the advisor experience in support of Client Success

  • Build client-facing collateral, internal processes, and supporting tools

  • Serve as a dependable consultative partner for a diverse population of financial advisors in understanding the various ways that they can partner with LPL, with consideration for which core business functions they wish to manage locally versus outsourcing to LPL.

  • Maintain specialized expertise regarding LPL’s affiliation models, including existing capabilities and the roadmap for future development.

  • Expanded scope, to address advisor conversion pain points

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of Advisor facing experience in either a sales, consultative, or support capacity

  • Experience solving complex problems and delivering upon process improvements across multiple stakeholders

  • High level presentation skills, including content creation experience presenting to executive audiences

  • Basic financial acumen and data analysis skills

Preferences:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Familiarity with different advisor mediated industry channels (W2, IBD, RIA, etc.) – including an understanding or willingness / ability to get up to speed on LPL’s strategic positioning


 

Pay Range:

$136,400.00 - $227,300.00


 

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
