VP, Amazon Acquisitions and Secured Card
Job Description
Role Summary/Purpose:
The Amazon portfolio is one of the fastest growing credit card portfolios at Synchrony Financial. The Vice President (VP), Amazon Acquisitions and Secured Card will be the acquisition and Secured Card marketing leader and will, in close cooperation with Amazon, be responsible for developing and executing an acquisition marketing strategy, as well as driving overall growth for the Secured Card product.
Core responsibilities include definition and evolution of the value proposition and acquisition offers, evolving existing and launching new acquisition channels as well close alignment with the lifecycle manager to ensure a great Customer Experience.
In addition, this VP role will own and drive growth for the Amazon Secured Card product. This includes marketing and other initiatives to drive new accounts and purchase volume, as well as ensure optimization and synergy between our secured and unsecured products.
This role will be responsible for managing the acquisition and Secured Card relationships with the product & marketing teams at Amazon, as well as internal and external stakeholders (e.g. agency) and other functional teams (e.g. Credit & Finance), plus own reporting and forecasting of key performance metrics.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Acquisition marketing channels: Evolve existing and add new acquisition channels
- Acquisition offers: Develop and test profitable and innovative new offers
- Own wing-to-wing marketing and growth of the Amazon Secured Card product, including account acquisition and customer engagement / usage
- Develop strategy and implement plan to optimize account generation between Secured Card and Store Card PLCC products
- Build and market credit education tools and communications to assist Secured Card customers in building or rebuilding their credit
- Value prop: Evolve value proposition through innovation and competitive benchmarking
- Client management: Work with Amazon Payments team on a day-to-day basis
- Budget: Manage acquisition and Secured Card marketing budget
- Reporting & forecasting: Own new account reporting and forecasting, as well as overall growth metrics for the Amazon Secured Card program
- Data analytics: Leverage data to develop new account and Secured Card analytics and leverage to continuously optimize acquisition offers, channels, engagement, and value prop
- Research: Drive research agenda to better understand prospects and existing cardholders to bring future opportunities to light
- Project management: work with outside vendors (e.g. Creative agencies, Print/Production, etc.), and internal cross-functional units (e.g. Risk, Legal, Operations, Systems, Field sales team, etc.) to successfully build & implement marketing programs
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and 9 years of relevant work experience
- A minimum of 5 years in client marketing experience to include:
- Experience in client facing roles and digital marketing.
Desired Characteristics:

- Strong team leadership and project management experience with a record of delivering on time and across functions
- Experience in financial services and/or credit card marketing
- Ability to influence and gain commitment at all organizational levels
- High level negotiation, communication and influencing skills

Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).

The salary range for this position is 85,000.00 - 170,000.00 USD Annual
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
