Role Summary/Purpose:

The VP, Analytics - ACE is a new analytics leadership role to lead a team of analysts focused on Accelerating Customer Engagement leveraging Customer level data and insights. Successful candidate in this role will act as a change agent to start looking at customer interactions wholistically across SYF products and channels and developing strategies to drive customer engagement and growth.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Analyze customer behavior/interactions across SYF products in partnership with CX team to Identify opportunities to drive customer engagement across Synchrony products.
  • Develop measurement plans to measure impact of Customer engagement activities planned under ACE
  • Point of contact to consolidate analytics across ACE workstreams.
  • Leverage Customer behavior data to develop long term strategy for ACE
  • Develop essential analytics tools to help ACE team access data and insights at customer level and develop marketing and communication strategies at customer level
  • Partner with cross functional teams to develop customer level journey views to identify opportunities for experience enhancements across SYF products
  • Constantly explore new tools and techniques in the industry to help cross functional teams understand customer behavior across journeys and products
  • Partner with platform and omni channel analytics teams and align on measurement of impact of customer level marketing and communication activities.
  • Team management and talent development of analysts focused on executing ACE strategy
  • Share learnings and capabilities with broader analytics community and advocate use of Customer level data and insights to develop growth strategies across platforms
  • Develop short-term and long-term roadmaps and provide regular updates to cross functional stakeholders on progress
  • Support data driven prioritization of resources across cross functional teams with appropriate data and insights
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, or in lieu of degree a high school diploma and 9 years of work experience in data and analytics
  • 7+ years' experience working with data/analytics in

    • 3+ years of experience in statistical analysis tools such as SAS, R, Python
    • 4+ years of experience in analytics focused on customer journeys and customer engagement
    • 4+ years of experience in leading teams and developing talent
  • Experience in collaborating with cross functional teams and executing complex projects
  • Strong project management skills prioritizing projects flowing in from multiple stakeholders

Desired Characteristics:

  • Prior experience in financial industry focused on customer engagement analytics
  • Demonstrated communication and documentation skills with the ability to relay key insights with appropriate level of data
  • Demonstrated analytic, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to innovate and find creative solutions to meet business goals
  • Proven ability in leading teams through change management of people and policies

Grade/Level: 12

The salary range for this position is 130,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Some positions are bonus eligible.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
