Job Description We are currently seeking a talented Vice President to join the Chase Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) Data Modernization and Cloud team.
Organization Description:
Our Consumer & Community Banking division (CCB) serves our Chase customers through a range of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans and payment processing. We're proud to lead the U.S. in credit card sales and deposit growth and have the most-used digital solutions - all while ranking first in customer satisfaction.
The Data Modernization and Cloud team is a part of CCB Data & Analytics organization and is responsible for enabling CCB to utilize our world class data assets in order to change every aspect of our business. We do this by envisioning data publishing & persistence using modern data formats, enabling faster data processing and efficient consumption patterns for developing advanced analytics.
This role encompasses entire CCB and the lines of business & functional groups the team supports include Consumer & Business Banking, Credit Card, Connected Commerce, Home Lending, Auto, Wealth Management, and Digital. Colleagues have the opportunity to build experience in a variety of areas by working with partners across the lines of business.
The right candidate will work as a part of distributed teams to identify and drive strategic decisions, conduct analysis and make recommendations around the path forward, and communicate with senior leadership. A successful candidate shall:
  • Lead POCs and pilot projects to demonstrate conversion of legacy data into modern data formats
  • Provide guidance & consulting to variety of product & data teams with regards to Data Modernization efforts such as legacy data identification, target state design, and modernization best practices.
  • Define strategy & collaborate with cross functional teams to drive data modernization projects, develop execution plans & roadmaps.
  • Help evaluate & validate modernized datasets, track data migration to the cloud and report on the progress.

Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Management or Data Transformation in a technical or product role.
  • 1-3+ years of experience leading teams
  • Proven ability to structure and scope complex problems and apply a range of analytical tools to develop solutions
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills - ability to collaborate and build relationships with colleagues at all levels and achieve goals without direct control over resources
  • An outstanding ability to communicate effectively and confidently, and to work well in cross-functional teams
  • Prior experience with data engineering frameworks and languages such as python, spark, kafka is a plus.
  • Experience with AWS, Snowflake or another public cloud is a plus.
  • Knowledge of open data formats such as JSON-LD and familiarity with Knowledge Graphs or RDF triples is preferred, but not required.
