Role Summary/Purpose:
Synchrony is continuing to build a world class organization committed to driving results with our retail and payment partners while also delivering leading customer experiences. Within our Technology & Operations organization, the VP, CSS -Card Pricing Initiatives will oversee and deliver the multi-platform configuration and technology solutions to drive and support new and/or changes in pricing features on existing programs as well as supporting the launch and delivery of new products and features.
As a critical and active member of a cross-functional team, the role will provide leadership and oversee strategic projects focused on driving revenue opportunities across new and existing credit and installment programs across Home & Auto, Health & Wellness, Diversified & Value, Digital and Lifestyle Platforms. This leader will leverage their deep relevant Fiserv platform processing and domain expertise to contribute to a wide variety of initiatives related to all facets of cardholder pricing, including terms changes, new/enhanced pricing features and functionality, the development and launch of new Synchrony product offerings, promotional financing processes, response to related regulatory changes, exams, and queries, and more. This is an exciting, transformational role that requires thought leadership, strong analytical and reasoning skills, expert-level fluency in Fiserv system architecture and pricing/billing processes and platform service areas, and an agile, flexible mindset.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide product expertise, functional knowledge, and drive strategy in the delivery of various card pricing related initiatives.
- Deliver integrated configuration designs across multiple platforms and service areas to drive card pricing functionality in support of a wide variety of initiatives, including portfolio pricing/revenue opportunities, new product launches, and process simplification and efficiencies.
- Collaborate with Fiserv as needed to ideate new solutions as well as to research/identify new pricing feature opportunities
- Continuously partner with pricing leadership to conceive/identify and offer technical solutions to new revenue opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business partners in the launch of new/changed processes to help prepare operationally and mitigate impact.
- Perform key preventive and detective controls in the form of data analysis as needed to assess accuracy of billing processes, calculations and other pricing related changes.
- Serve as voting member of a bi-weekly release review board to assess risks, implications, and production readiness for card pricing related change requests
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and ten years of technology experience within the Financial Services industry
- 10+ years of project management experience
Desired Characteristics
- 10+ years strong working knowledge of related Fiserv platforms including the following Fiserv Optis service areas: Product Control File (PCF), Account Level Processing (ALP), Method Level Processing (MLP), Transaction Level Processing (TLP), Transaction Level Fees (TLF), DecisionQuest, and Rules processing areas
- Strong knowledge of cardholder billing processes including configuration management of all aspects of cardholder pricing (rates, fees, grace periods, min pay, etc), promotional financing, cardholder billing, and statement functionality.

Grade/Level: 12
The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Some positions are bonus eligible.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
