This is a hybrid position. The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.
Position Summary:
This individual will lead the CLO syndication process. He or she will work with CLO issuer and investor clients to determine and execute marketing strategy for each deal with a focus on AAA and equity pre-marketing as well as mezzanine debt syndication of Primary CLO transactions. The role will also include transaction origination responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Utilize market knowledge and leverage existing relationships to work with anchor AAA and equity investors to pre-place bonds
- Lead and manage the syndication process following the pre-marketing phase
- Interact with CLO Manager clients, Structuring, Sales, and Investors throughout the marketing process
- Work with Structuring to help facilitate manager and investor document negotiations
- Prepare materials to update senior bankers, sales, other internal parties, and clients with information on the current market
- Cultivate and develop new CLO investor leads
- Maintain strong relationships and frequent communication with CLO issuers and equity investors to create transaction opportunities
- Maintain thorough understanding of global CLO investor landscape as well as CLO market
- Coordinate and conduct deal and non-deal related roadshows
- Supervise the creation of marketing materials for CLO Issuer and investor clients, for pitching and other purposes
- Participate in conference and investor marketing "road show" meetings and scheduling
- Participate in special assignments and projects as required
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in a CLO Syndicate or Sales role in a large global bank
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, and/or Mathematics
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills. Results driven, with a strong sense of accountability
- Series 7, 63, and 79 (or obtained shortly after joining)
The typical base pay range for this role is between $200K - $275K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
