Job Description

Position Summary

The VP, Data & Analytics will be responsible for providing leadership, innovation and oversight for the data analytics function and for articulating strategic opportunities for data analytics. This leader will build and strengthen the analytics infrastructure. The VP, Data & Analytics finds ways to improve and scale current capabilities while setting a future vision for reporting and measuring analytics of the organization.

Essential Functions

• Lead the development of the data standards and deploys automation tools to obtain and process data from different sources.
• Partner with business stakeholders to develop a cohesive vision and prioritized multi-year roadmap to create advanced data and analytics capabilities.
• Manage multiple analytics deliverables including updates to the comprehensive data and reporting roadmap.
• Analyze data for trends or patterns to identify business issues that need to be addressed, communicate with internal customers about results of analyses and develop data-driven strategies for overcoming these problems.
• Ensure all data systems across departments properly sync, have identified hierarchy and are architected for rapid scale and growth.
• Work closely with, and manage stakeholder relationships to help determine and drive analytics to provide clear insights.
• Oversee and build processing capacity and team to support projects using statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis.
• Ensure the data and analytics frameworks follow best practices for maintainability, recoverability, and high-performance.
• Facilitate the execution of a data roadmap and vision for information delivery and management.
• Manage data insights and analytics, including enterprise dashboards and support the creation of functional dashboards in partnership with business functions.
• Stay abreast of new tools and technologies to assist the team in creating the most efficient and effective data solutions.
• Constructs data sets to analyze, inform, identify trends and support stakeholder decision- making.
• Continuously innovate the data and analytics platforms and tools architecture to meet current and future needs.
• Partner with key business executives to develop and drive a data governance framework that enables a common data language and creates trust in enterprise data.

Experience and Skills

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Administration or related field
• 10+ years of experience in database management, data engineering, data analytics, business intelligence, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
• Strong knowledge of database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases and data lakes
• Experience with data analytics technologies and tools, such as data visualization, data warehousing, ETL tools, and machine learning libraries and frameworks
• Experience with business intelligence technologies and tools, such as data modeling, dashboards, and reporting
• Experience with cloud-based database, analytics, and machine learning services, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute on a long-term vision for database management, analytics, data science, and business intelligence
