VP, Demand Generation
Job Description
As Vice President of Demand Generation, you will report directly to the Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer and be a key player in the marketing leadership team. You will collaborate closely with senior leaders across various functions to establish a robust marketing plan and demand generation engine that drives our aggressive growth targets.
You will oversee brand and corporate messaging, AR/PR, digital demand generation, account-based marketing, website development, event operations, and marketing operations. Collaboration with other marketing functions, including industry, product marketing, and senior revenue leadership, will be crucial to your success. You will oversee not only pipeline creation from marketing that your team is accountable for but you will also be the leader with the VP of Revenue Operations for all pipeline creation, health, and velocity performance KPIs.
The essential functions include, but not limited to the following:
- Define and refine the company's brand and growth marketing strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives and market trends.
- Build, manage, and inspire a high-performing brand and growth marketing team, ensuring individual and collective success by providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
- Develop and execute demand generation strategies, utilizing a variety of channels such as digital advertising, content marketing, SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media, events, and partnerships.
- Drive customer acquisition efforts by optimizing lead generation funnels, developing targeted campaigns, and employing marketing automation and conversion rate optimization tactics.
- Implement strategies to enhance customer engagement and retention, including personalized communication, upselling/cross-selling initiatives, and customer loyalty programs.
- Leverage data analytics, A/B testing, and marketing automation tools to track and analyze key performance metrics, generate actionable insights, and optimize marketing initiatives for improved ROI.
- Implement brand and communications strategies to enhance brand positioning and messaging, ensuring consistency across all marketing touchpoints.
- Foster strong partnerships with sales, product management, industry and product marketing, and other cross-functional teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives, ensuring seamless execution and ongoing collaboration.
- Develop and deliver regular reporting to the senior team, highlighting key marketing performance metrics, growth opportunities, and progress toward revenue targets.
- Manage the marketing budget and key vendor relationships.
- Lead as the executive sponsor of Seeq’s annual customer summit, Seeq Conneqt. Build a strategic event plan with your team and curate all messaging, executive engagement, programs, content, event experience, sponsorships, budget, and execution to exceed event goals.
- Lead Seeq’s executive sponsor program collaborating closely with revenue and customer success leaders and teams.
- Engage in key analyst, press, and investor relationships and programs.
- Manage key stakeholder communications, including updates to Seeq’s board of directors and investor communities.
- Lead marketing operations and marketing tech stack investments to drive pipeline generation at scale with continuous improvement on optimizing costs to drive more efficiency in spending.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of brand, corporate communication, and demand generation experience, including 5+ years in a senior role at a B2B SaaS or high-tech company. Experience marketing for a line of business executive buyer preferred.
- Proven experience in brand and growth marketing, with a strong track record of successfully leading and scaling marketing teams in a multi-product SaaS company.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, including SEO/SEM, social media, content marketing, email marketing, and marketing automation.
- Understanding of AI approaches and technologies that can be implemented to drive more effective and efficient growth marketing.
- Proficiency in leveraging data analytics and marketing technology platforms to drive insights and optimize marketing initiatives.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into actionable marketing strategies.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience working in a highly collaborative fashion with revenue leaders using a leadership approach that drives a unified marketing and sales plan and accountability for pipeline creation and conversion.
- Demonstrated mastery of pipeline capacity planning, KPIs and reporting, and data-driven approaches to solve issues in pipeline health and velocity.
