Position Summary:

As the leader of our new business unit in ESS, you’ll help lead teams and establish a vision, taking the products to the next level.

You will lead and partner by building out a team of sales, engineers and product experts while developing a nationwide network of installers.  Working cross-functionally with most departments such as engineering, design, product, marketing, sales, and others on a global scale to develop and evolve breakthrough performance in long-duration energy storage.

In this role, you will facilitate core technology development leading to the creation of world-class performance, set direction and create a disciplined approach for the development of new products and improvements and/or maintenance and improvement of existing technology and products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the ESS team and battery storage systems based on the Greenworks tools technology that meet and exceed market requirements for performance, quality, cost, and manufacturability.
• responsible for leading the development of a long-term technical roadmap that pushes the limits of performance and commercial viability, including a disciplined approach to ensure maximum return on investment for the organization.
• Provide technical analysis and recommendations to executive leadership.
• Drive the electrification of commercial outdoor power equipment in all respective target segments.
• Provide innovative charging solutions for equipment and vehicles.
• Energy storage and charging experience for homeowners, small businesses, colleges, and other municipalities.
• Support product, design, quality, engineering, sales, and operations in addressing product challenges, including testing, and qualifying new materials, processes, techniques, and designs to ensure the company’s continued market leadership.
• Partner with Product Managers to ensure alignment with emerging market requirements and competitive risks.
• Ensure roadmaps are clearly defined, tracked, and measured.
• Develop and manage the budget, including hiring, operating expenses, and capital outlays in support of research and development projects.

Required Education and Experience:

• Success in building teams to scale and drive company achievements.
• Energy storage solution experience in a leadership role.
• Scale business with innovative charging solutions for vehicles.
• BA or equivalent experience
