VP Engineering

INRIX is looking for a VP of Engineering to lead our DaaS (Data as a Service) Engineering team reporting to our CTO. This is a critical leadership role at INRIX responsible for driving our DaaS and AI innovations and our industry-leading mobility "big data" solutions.

In our fast-paced, collaborative environment, you will lead an agile team of software architects and engineers to deliver our SaaS product offerings. This role is based in our headquarters in Kirkland, WA - in the the office 4 days a week, local candidates only please.

What you'll do:

• Own and innovate our AI driven DaaS Mobility Intelligence Platform (our real-time DaaS platform is responsible for all of our content consumption and generation, processing many, many billions of transactions a day)
• Explore and innovate on new cloud and AI/ML technologies
• Lead a first-class engineering team: be the expert of your product, create a culture of quality, learn and mentor to continuously improve you and your team's knowledge, technical capabilities, and soft skills
• Lead the architecture & implementation of AI driven cloud-based software
• Create DaaS product and technology roadmaps, working collaboratively across business, product and technical leadership
• Evangelize, educate, and otherwise encourage broad adoption of DaaS concepts and implementation
• Consult & collaborate with engineering, product stakeholders, partners, and customers
• Be agile in planning and execution, working in parallel on multiple solutions
• Occasionally travel to meet with customers, prospects, and other engineering teams

Who you are:

• Knowledgeable, experienced, Engineering leader with 10+ years of experience developing scalable web, data, and mobile solutions
• 7+ years of experience managing teams of software engineers and designers
• Have deep fundamental knowledge of the AI landscape and its technical implementation options
• Have deep experience with AWS or similar cloud technologies
• Care passionately about operational excellence, product accuracy and have a clear focus on all aspects of engineering quality
• Be familiar with API standards and patterns and their use by modern web technologies
• Architect and supported resilient, performant, and monitored infrastructures, knowing when and how to use them effectively
• Have a track record of collaborating on platforms and reusable code used by multiple internal and external product engineering teams
• Know that code is better than diagrams and doing is better than talking
• Believe that customer success is your success

The compensation range for this role is $200K - 275K, including base salary and bonus. Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. INRIX may modify the pay range at any time.
