The Position
The Vice President, Engineering and Delivery adeptly manages all technical planning and project delivery functions within OneEnergy. This role will be instrumental in delivering OneEnergy’s mission and strategic plan. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure and works cohesively and collaboratively across functional teams to include development, engineering, finance, delivery, and leadership. The position reports directly to the CEO and will be responsible for the full engineering and delivery teams.
This position requires 80% or more in-office and in-person presence for efficient collaboration and effective communication.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the engineering and delivery teams. Responsibility includes resource allocation across all projects at all project stages.
- Originating, managing, and updating all departmental best practices, processes, and procedures.
- Providing steady and reliable leadership across Engineering and Delivery teams in multiple locations while also managing complicated schedules, budgets, contractors, risks, and resources.
- Supporting the development of new project pipeline while also providing advancement to existing pipeline.
- Negotiating all aspects of EPC and consultant contracts, with support from other team leaders in these specific areas: Payment Milestones, Performance Security, Liquidated Damages, Force Majeure, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification.
- Participating in the company’s Investment Committee and Leadership Team with regular reporting on project advancements, project profitability, and resource planning.
- Leading weekly Engineering and Delivery leadership meetings to effectively manage resourcing while also establishing clear, consistent expectations.
- Full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility for projects we deliver to commercial operations. Taking responsibility for monitoring, managing, and adjusting our approach based on company/project profitability.
- Guiding development team with timely cost estimates, bid/proposal support, procurement planning, resource allocation, permitting strategy, and delivery strategy for future projects.
- Create and foster continuous improvement between internal teams, utilizing tools, encouraging participation, and following company processes where directed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management.
- Minimum 10 years of engineering, construction and/or technical project management experience.
- PMP Certification preferred, NEC conversant, and capable of debating the intricacies of grounding versus bonding.
- Demonstrated track record of success in renewable energy or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and bring out the best in a team of engineers, project managers, and site superintendents.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of integrity and organizational capacity to manage multiple projects.
- A proven ability to provide efficient, timely, and reliable service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with proven ability to take ownership, initiative, and accountability.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to manage competing priorities often across functional and operational lines.
- Ability to contribute to an amicable working environment with other associates and employees.
- A recent history of successfully building trust and respect in a symbiotic relationship.
- Must possess strong quantitative analysis and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent PC computer skills and familiarity with MS Office and Windows.
- Must have a “roll up your sleeves and let’s get the job done right” type attitude.

- This position requires frequent travel, approximately 15-25% of working time.
OneEnergy’s compensation packages are dependent on an array of factors including, but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographic location, and other organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the salary for this role is $175,000-$250,000. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of this range. In addition, we provide generous Paid Time Off (six weeks/year) and an impactful Volunteer Time Off Program.
