VP Engineering Program Management

We are looking for a VP - Engineering Program Management to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies reporting to the SVP Product Development. This exciting opportunity offers the dual opportunity to drive strategic planning and engineering development execution across Bloom's product portfolio while also providing leadership to the Waste to Energy product development initiatives.

Location - San Jose, CA

Role and Responsibilities:

• Provide overall Technical Program Management leadership essential to ensure successful delivery of key product development programs to achieve Bloom Energy's business plan objectives.
• Work closely with highly technical product development, product management, and operations teams on product definition, roadmap, schedules, prioritizations, tradeoffs, etc.
• Solidify technical program management processes that allow the team to better prioritize, present status, track budget and high-level timelines, and manage risk and resource constraints across teams. Lead the team to document requirements/scope and dependencies, and ensure deliverables are accomplished according to plan.
• Recruit, train, and mentor program/project management employees responsible for coordinating multiple teams to deliver on strategic goals. Provide regular feedback and develop employees for broader roles, responsibilities, and growth.
• Ensure the team has the right cadence and communication across product development workstreams
• Establish a balanced culture of structured process mentality as well as flexibility to promote innovation.

Skills and Experience:

• 20+ years' experience in technical project/program management experience with large complex product development projects, experience in the energy sector a plus
• Qualified individuals should have obtained a Ph.D. or Master's in an engineering discipline. Should have PMP certification
• Experience leading a large technical project/program management function supporting multiple product development functions. Experience in the fuel cell industry would be an added advantage.
• Extremely strong presence, ability to lead and manage cross functional and matrixed teams
• Team oriented consensus builder who understands how to achieve buy-in from diverse constituencies, building bridges and designing "win-win" solutions across a matrix management organization
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
