POSITION SUMMARY: The Vice President of Analytics is responsible for building an enterprise analytics team that delivers business outcomes. This role will oversee the strategy, development and execution of statistical and machine learning models, data mining and advanced analytical solutions. The VP will work across the executive leadership team to lead key strategic discussions and provide thought leadership on new ways to leverage data to create business value and competitive advantages. This position will lead a team of data science professionals using the latest in computing and machine learning technologies

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and execute data analytics strategy across the company.
  • Develop world-class team and capabilities for enterprise analytics.
  • Lead end to end project delivery for cross functional analytics projects leveraging advanced technologies to drive business outcomes.
  • Lead and oversee building best in class statistical and machine learning models to drive business outcomes.
  • Build machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation.
  • Engage and communicate with senior executives and business partners articulating business process from a technical/quantitative definition.
  • Develop analytics roadmap, strategy and best practices that support data driven decision making.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience leading Data and Analytics strategy in a data-intensive environment
  • Demonstrated ability in translating business needs to analytic requirements and communicating results of complex analyses to a broad audience
  • Expert level knowledge of business insights and analytics tools, platforms, and technologies (e.g., Tableau, R, SQL)
  • In depth knowledge of regressions, supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms such as Gradient Boosting Method, NLP, Spatial data Science and time series forecasting
  • Prior experience as a Data Scientist (5+ years) working on challenging problems
  • Have full stack experience in data collection, aggregation, analysis, visualization, productization and monitoring of Data Science products
  • Strong ability to coach Data Scientists, helping them improve skills
  • Strong analytical and program solving skills are required to interpret data and draw conclusions
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing projects

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MS in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or relevant field
  • Prior experience as a Data Scientist (5+ years) working on challenging problems
