VP, Enterprise Platforms Data Ontology and Strategy

Key responsibilities include:

• Shaping and guiding emerging strategic data initiatives across the enterprise.
• Establishing and managing a standard ontology for products across business units, with the capacity to extend based on individual product needs.
• Developing and executing an effective data governance program to engage stakeholders, prioritize projects, implement and document outcomes, and create & disseminate standards, guidelines, and training documentation.
• Analyzing and recommending data modeling, cataloging, and governance technology solutions and processes.
• Contributing to legacy data harmonization and integration projects as well as new data product initiatives.
• Translating complex business and financial sector terminology into precise knowledge representations.
• Designing and deploying ontologies, taxonomies, models, and other structures to identify and fill knowledge gaps in the representation of firm assets, products, services, relations, and processes.
• Working closely with developers to design and implement technology solutions.
• Monitoring and applying industry standardization initiatives.
• Engaging with a variety of stakeholders and synthesizing diverse requirements and viewpoints into actionable solutions.
• Ensuring project requirements and deadlines are met.
• Exhibiting high levels of collaboration and time management.
• Building and nurturing networks to bring people together towards common goals.
• Thinking productively to create roadmaps that align with organizational OKRs.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Knowledge of capital markets, post-trade processing, and wealth management.
• Ability to prioritize and manage competing requests from stakeholders
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
• Proficient understanding of relational & graph database, ETL, and API approaches and technologies.
• Experience with data mapping, cleansing, and transformation methods.
• Familiarity with financial industry data standards.
• Proficient in RDF/OWL and other ontology languages.
• Strong logical and conceptual reasoning abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience presenting complex topics in a concise way to Executive Management.
• Familiarity with XML, JSON schemas.
• Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written.
