VP Enterprise Project Management
ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT The Vice President, Enterprise Project Management (VP) reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives (SVP). The Strategic Initiatives Department is focused on developing and executing initiatives that represent the current strategic priorities of the senior leadership team. The VP will drive the planning and execution of VyStar's enterprise project portfolio as well as establish standard methodologies (waterfall and agile), process, procedure, and governance across the enterprise. The VP will apply relevant industry experience in Program Management and Project Management experience to build and lead strong cross-functional partnerships driving accountability across the organization. The VP will lead the efforts of a team of project management and business analysis professionals that will directly lead large and small cross-functional initiatives. The VP will engage with all teams and functional leads to define, plan, execute, and track project milestones, resources, and budget allocations across the portfolio.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cultivates a best-in-class EPMO governance process across the portfolio.
- Plans portfolio on time, with high quality and on budget.
- Leads large and small cross-functional initiatives in partnership with applicable shared services (IT, Marketing, Finance/Accounting, Risk/Compliance, HR & Training).
- Champions best practices in Program Management including the use of new tools, methodologies (waterfall and agile) and resources, standardized across the company, to achieve project deliverables and milestones.
- Continues to build VyStar's EPMO organization by incorporating best practices and developing/hiring top Program and Portfolio Management.
- Develops and tracks Project resourcing for the entire product portfolio.
- Drives accountability for project team performance.
- Drives cross functional alignment and communication to ensure support for approved portfolio.
- Develops executive level dashboards with appropriate data to drive timely decision making and executive analysis.
- Implements appropriate policies and procedures relative to demand, portfolio, and resource management.
- Engages with all teams and functional leads to define, prioritize, execute, and track project milestones, resources, and budget allocations across the portfolio.
- Ensures adherence with the quality management including creation of documents and new processes.
- Facilitates best practices and lessons learned post product launch in order to drive portfolio continuous improvement opportunities.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE
- 15+ years of successful experience with Enterprise Portfolio, Program, and Project Management or related functions in a financial services organization.
- 10+ years of successful management experience working with Information Technology project, resources, and leadership.
- Certified PMP preferred.
- Certified Scrum Master or similar certification preferred.
- Experience on-boarding Agile practices into an organization preferred.
- Extensive experience leading large PMO governance processes including process creation, reporting, portfolio planning management, resource management, and execution.
- Extensive experience managing and building teams, including strong leadership of both matrixed teams and direct reports.
- Ability to be both strategic and detail-focused with strong critical/strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Broad knowledge of current financial industry trends and developments and considered a thought leader.
- Experience in providing leadership using a balanced approach to adeptly manage competing interests to deliver creative and compelling industry leading solutions.
- Excellent executive presence and leadership skills to effectively work cross functionally in the organization with track record building collaborative relationships with team members (peers, staff, and executive level).

- Must also have exceptional presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
- Organizational and time-management skills are expected among any company's leadership team members, along with ethical and effective handling of sensitive, confidential and proprietary information.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree in business related field
- Preferred, Master's Degree
