We are looking for a hands-on VP of Finance to oversee PlayerLync’s financial, accounting, personnel services, legal, and general administration efforts with the support of the CEO, as well as oversight of our Controller function. Key financial responsibilities include financial management, operational assistance (time & money optimization & budgeting), strategic planning & financial modeling, and investor presentations. M&A experience is a plus. Other responsibilities include the oversight of company Payroll, Benefits, 401k plan, and other Human Resource areas, as well as legal and general administrative functions.
What you will do
Finance
- Own financial forecasts, Board reports and lender reporting
- Manage insurance position, oversee tax and audit relationships with outside firms
- Ensure appropriate financial controls are in place and auditable processes are followed
- Drive selection, adoption, and continuous improvement of new systems to automate repetitive processes
- Engage with PlayerLync Team Leaders to identify and track key metrics and understand variances to forecast and budget
Accounting oversight (coordinate with Controller to ensure the following)
- Monthly close of books in 5 business days
- Timely payment of vendor invoices and appropriate tracking of approvals
- Accounts Receivable management to accelerate payments and minimize bad debts
- Consistent adoption and application of accounting standards
- Timely filing of sales and other taxes
Personnel Services administration
- Administration of healthcare benefits, coordination and execution in onboarding new hires and terminations
- Coordinate expense reports and reimbursements and update payroll manager with employee expense, employee commissions/bonuses, employee time off
- Assist with the semi-annual performance review process
Legal Oversight
- Lead oversight for all legal requirements of the business including:
- Office Lease
- Banking Relationships
- Cap table and investor management
- Sales Contract support (NDA’s, Terms of Service, Sales Orders, etc)
Administrative Duties
- Facilities logistics and communication with landlord
- Routinely reorder company and department supplies and meals
- Make logistical arrangements related to office conferences and employee events
