VP, Finance & Analytics

Data and planning are at the center of everything we do at Favor. The appetite for reporting, planning, and analysis increases each day as we grow and improve our programs, platforms, products, and features for our community of customers, Runners (that’s what we call our delivery drivers), and partners.

As the VP of Finance and Analytics you will lead teams of high-performing analysts and leaders in support of Favor’s strategic initiatives through business analytics, financial planning and analysis, and accounting functions. Through your team, you will drive data-backed decisions, impact analysis, financial accounting and reporting, modeling, and forecasting to grow Favor’s reach and volume and to optimize service and the user experience. What you'll do:

• Lead a team of business analytics analysts and leaders to support the reporting and analytical needs of our Marketing and Growth, Product and Engineering, Merchandising and Content, Operations, Support, and Sales teams
• Lead a team of financial planning and analysis analysts and leaders to perform financial planning and analysis for the company
• Lead a team of Accounting team members and leaders and support them in their day-to-day accounting functions
• Develop, manage, and track progress towards the company’s financial model and plan
• Provide ongoing forecasts, updates, and insights into any deviations in the financial plan
• Partner with stakeholders to understand their business objectives and collaborate on key performance indicator selection, performance measurement, opportunity identification, strategic planning, and general analysis
• Identify the functional and domain areas of expertise needed to best support the business and ensure these capabilities are developed within the Analytics team
• Implement and maintain a self-service reporting and visualization platform to support the real-time and near-real-time data needs of Favor team members and our partners

Skills you have:

• A relevant degree or comparable formal training, certification, and/or work experience
• 10+ years of experience in finance and analytics with 5+ years of experience leading finance and analytics teams
• A demonstrated track record of creating strategic relationships across a business while driving alignment on high-priority, high-visibility initiatives
• Expertise in organizational design and leading a centralized analytics team with a diverse range of business domain expertise
• Experience with business intelligence software such as Looker, Tableau, etc.
• Experience with client-side analytics such as Google Analytics and Firebase
• Familiarity with data warehouse design, extract, transform, and load processes, and data governance best practices
• Familiarity with experimentation frameworks and statistical concepts related to A/B and multivariate testing
• Familiarity with structured query language 
• Familiarity with R/Python. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in storytelling with data in a presentation setting
• A servant leadership style with strong collaboration within and across functional departments

Where you’ll work: This is a hybrid role, meaning you’ll work from home roughly three days per week and collaborate with other team members in person at our HQ in Austin, Texas for the remaining work days.
