In 2023 we grew from almost 100 Loopers to over 250 people. And that’s a number we would have to keep updating every month, as we are planning to double the team once again, this year.
Our headquarters are based in Antwerp, but with hubs in Amsterdam, Shanghai, and New York, we’re dotted all over the globe.
Not to brag about it, but we’ve recently won the EY Scale up of the year award, the Deloitte Fast50 award (for the second year in a row) and a couple of other amazing (international) prices. The New York Times named us ‘best earplugs for concerts’ and thousands of noise-sensitive customers call us a ‘life changer’.

Are you ready to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing company? We're on the hunt for a visionary VP Finance & Legal to spearhead our international expansion. In this pivotal role, you'll be at the helm of our financial health, leading and scaling a top-tier finance and legal team.
As a VP Finance & Legal you will support our international growth by leading and building out the finance and legal team. You'll be the architect behind our FP&A, Legal, and Accounting teams, ensuring we stay profitable, innovative, and ahead of industry trends. Not only will you navigate complex financial landscapes, but you'll also tackle high-priority projects that drive our growth. What you'll do
- Strategic Leadership: Guide and drive the Finance & Legal roadmap, setting the agenda and priorities to align with the company's objectives. Lead strategic projects such as ERP setup and implementation, international sales taxes/VAT, and audits.
- Business Partnership: Position the Finance & Legal team as essential business partners, fostering collaboration across the entire company. Work closely with various departments to facilitate growth while ensuring long-term profitability.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and analyze key performance metrics to gauge the success of the Finance & Legal departments. Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions that enhance overall performance and contribute to business goals.
- Team Development: Cultivate a global, high-performing, and engaged Finance and Legal team that embodies Loop's values. Through effective people management and strategic recruitment, lead, build, and develop a team of talented and dedicated individuals.
- Technological Innovation: Be at the forefront of technological advancements within the Finance & Legal departments. Optimize operations and leverage advanced AI technologies to ensure Loop remains competitive and efficient in its financial and legal practices.
- Collaborative Environment: Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages cross-functional collaboration and continuous learning. Promote a culture of teamwork and knowledge-sharing to drive the company's success.
What You'll Bring to Loop
- You bring 12+ years of experience in Finance and Legal, with at least 8 years leadership experience and know how to inspire team excellence, with a focus on building, mentoring, and leading teams across our global hubs.
- You have a proven track record of guiding companies through various growth phases, showcasing your sharp eye for strategic financial planning and global market expansion. Your experience includes successfully managing financial strategies that support sustainable growth and scalability.
- You possess exceptional skills in optimizing financial health through effective cost management, cash flow optimization, and process improvements. Your operational leadership ensures that financial practices are streamlined and efficient, contributing to the overall success and stability of the organization.
- Your experience includes navigating the complexities of international finance expansion, with a strong network for strategic partnerships and investment opportunities.
- You have excellent communication skills, particularly in English, and the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels. Your interpersonal skills facilitate effective collaboration across teams, ensuring that financial and legal strategies are well-integrated and aligned with broader business objectives.
- Your strategic thinking and problem-solving skills are robust, enabling you to navigate complex financial and legal challenges. You approach problems with a strategic mindset, developing solutions that drive long-term success and mitigate risks.
- Experience in scale-ups and E-commerce is a big plus.
How you’ll succeed as VP Finance and Legal
You will excel in this role with your strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Your ability to inspire team excellence, with a focus on building, mentoring, and leading teams across global hubs, will be crucial. You will bring proven expertise in navigating companies through growth phases, strategic financial planning, and global market expansion. Launched in 2018 with its first earplug, Loop has quickly transformed from a niche brand focused on hearing protection for the nightlife scene to a universal name synonymous with the freedom to choose what the world sounds like. With over 5 million sets sold in 2023, our journey from a startup to a profitable entity since 2021 reflects our relentless drive and innovative spirit. Investing approximately 10% of our revenue back into R&D every year, we're committed to leading the earwear industry through continuous innovation. As a largely founder-led company, retaining 75% ownership including ESOP, Loop boasts a global footprint with sales in 150+ countries, particularly strong in North America, Europe, and rapidly expanding in the Asia-Pacific region. With hubs in Antwerp (HQ), Amsterdam, New York, the Bay Area, and Shanghai, we're gearing up for a significant liquidity event by 2027-2030, probably an IPO.
Loop takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, experience, skill sets, qualifications, education, and other business and organizational needs. Final salary is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant prior experience, or particular skills and expertise. Please note the range listed is just one component of the Company’s total rewards package.
Base Salary Range
$240,000—$300,000 USD
