You will oversee analysis and reporting on overall company financial results as well as participate in special projects and research. This is a highly visible role – you will report directly to the Chief Accounting Officer and be a key advisor to the Finance leadership team. In addition to possessing the specific qualifications cited below, all candidates must work well within a complex, fast-paced, fluid environment, and possess a proven ability to design and lead operational and accounting change. All candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Specific responsibilities may include the following:

Managing, developing, and leading an engaged and high-performing team
Preparation of GAAP and operating financial results on a monthly and quarterly basis including detailed channel and/or product line reporting and analysis for the company’s Individual/Institutional markets/channel as well as supporting Ivy investment vehicles
Lead and coordinate the quarterly close process and assist with preparation of supporting schedules and analysis for internal and external reporting used by senior management and board of directors
Collect and maintain supporting documentation used for reporting and analysis
Preparation of financial support for internal SOX sign-off and external audit as well as ad-hoc informational requests from other groups
Assist in synthesizing and summarizing detailed financial data to create meaningful, high-level, result-oriented analysis used for senior management and board reporting

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree and CPA/CMA professional credentials are strongly preferred
10+ years of related accounting and reporting experience, preferably in the life insurance or financial services industry and/or in public accounting.
Strong excel and power point skills.
Proficiency with Hyperion query tools (HFM, Essbase) and Peoplesoft platforms.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills for creating insightful, actionable reporting.
Strong technical skills with ability to understand complex products and models
Ability to manage competing priorities.

Various jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications. Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City. The base salary range posted below is inclusive of the lowest cost of living geography to the highest in which we have a Global Atlantic office.

Global Atlantic’s base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives. The base salary range for this role is $131,691 to $250,841
