Job Description

Job Description:

Over the next five years, the entire Mars Snacking enterprise will embark on a journey to digital transform our core digital capabilities. This is a necessity and core strategic area of focus to ensure Mars Wrigley and the Snacking businesses stay relevant and competitive in an increasing VUCA world, where consumers are shifting preferences and behaviours, where customers are transforming, and where employees are transitioning into hybrid ways of working.

As we are entering into the next phase of the Mars Wrigley Reinvention, it will be increasingly important for Mars Wrigley and the rest of the Snacking global business units to see digital and data as a multiplier of value. One of the key strategic areas required is to design a fit for purpose future that enables both small and agile acquired businesses, but also larger, more complex businesses built for scale.

To that end, we see digital and data as a competitive advantage, which will require us to build digital capabilities across our end-to-end value chain, at scale, and starting with consumer centricity. As we look at our One Demand agenda we need to future back and digitize our Engage to Consumer processes, with strategic platforms, automation, analytics and AI. This will amplify our consumer digital eco-system. It will shape also our future for at least the next ten years. Doing this both strategically fit for purpose in the Mars Snacking segment, but collaborating more broadly across the rest of Mars, Incorporated is a must.

This role will work alongside the Mars Wrigley Demand VP's and serve as the digital technology Global Demand executive. In this context, this role will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Route to Market
  • Trade Promotion Management and Optimization
  • Digital Content
  • Digital Commerce
  • Next generation perfect store capabilities
  • eB2B/Omni-channel
  • M&M's ecosystem including Mars Retail
  • Retail specific capabilities such as: Order Management, CRM and our digital M&M's business
  • Other tailwind channels such as Unattended Retail

As such, the role will require strategic agility, proven excellence in large scale program management and depth of both technical and functional knowledge in order to quickly identify and prioritize areas of value contribution across the entire demand portfolio, and turn this ambition into a compelling vision for senior leaders to buy into and for associates to be inspired delivering against it.

Whilst the role will be focusing primarily on Mars Wrigley, requiring strong collaboration with all members of the Mars Wrigley D30 team, it is also expected for this role to engage across all Snacking and Mars, Incorporated. The same will need to happen externally in order to inspire external partners to understand the Mars Snacking needs, which is critical in the broader Mars enterprise.

Mars is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. If you need assistance or an accommodation during the application process because of a disability, it is available upon request.
