VP, Global Partnerships & Channel Sales
Job Description
Our market (D2C eCommerce) is both broad and deep - we serve a few thousand customers, from startups (via partners like Adobe and Shopify) to high-growth brands (Vuori, Rad Power Bikes) to household names (Walmart, Samsung, eBay, etc.). In fact, we are the #1 provider of payment optimization and fraud prevention to the Top 1000 Internet Retailers .
You will have the unique market tailwind and career opportunity of scaling a multi-segment business development org. You will lead a team of 8 (including Partner Marketing) to achieve pipeline goals and channel sales across those segments. And we are looking to grow this org as it is a key focus of our go-to-market strategy.
Sales and marketing alignment is very strong at Signifyd. Your efforts will be multiplied and achieved through strong collaboration and teamwork across our Marketing and Sales teams, both of which also roll up to the Chief Business Officer.
The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to engage at the C-level, as well the deal structuring and program management skills to make complex channel-driven sales scalable. They should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about GTM challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions to partners in the ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Chief Business Officer in creating and executing the strategic plan for all Partnership programs, while working closely with the Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success orgs to meet or exceed pipeline and channel sales targets
- Own and build upon a portfolio of key partner relationships through alignment of joint growth objectives
- Set clear vision and steward the Partnerships team and Signifyd stakeholders (product, legal, etc.) through complex deals, international expansion and other evolutions of our partner ecosystem
- Coach and develop a team of Partner Managers to their fullest potential; providing career pathing and feedback to enable strong performance
- Referral Ecosystem - Provide strategic direction, program management and pipeline / bookings outcomes across key practice areas - Commerce Agencies, Technology Platforms, and Financial Institutions
- Channel - Scale proven channel relationships, such as our partnership with FIS, the world's largest merchant acquirer. Launch and begin scaling new channel relationships coming online in 2023 (we will share more information during the interview process)
- Act as a spokesperson for the company at relevant trade shows and other key industry events, including 1st meetings with CXOs introduced by partners
Required Qualifications
- The right person will possess 10-15 years of experience across partnerships, business development, channel sales, consulting, and/or GTM strategy
- 5+ years of experience in payments, fraud, and/or the eCommerce ecosystem, ideally with channel sales as part of past responsibilities
- Proven track record of initiating and successfully driving incremental pipeline through program management
- Proven track record of managing teams to success and building up next generation leaders within their org.
- Must be proficient with the utilization of Salesforce.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
- Must possess exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and research skills
- Travel and participation in after-hours meetings with prospects at field events as required
- Familiarity with merchant growing pains is a big plus

(Colorado and New York City only*) Minimum salary of $175,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salaries are determined by role, level, and location. The salary minimum displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
