THE OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring a "Vice President, Global Pre-Sales, and Value Engineering" for our Revenue team based in the US!
The VP of Global Pre-Sales and Value Engineering will be instrumental in leading our Technical Sales (pre-sales) executives globally, our client-facing professional services, and developing a new value engineering area inside the revenue organization. You will be responsible for leading a technical team in evangelizing our technical differentiation, actively supporting technical positioning in accounts, developing execution strategies that scale at the rate our business is growing, supporting our clients' integration with our professional services, and developing new strategies for new approaches in showcasing Gympass' value to both prospects and customers. When it comes to continually providing our best products around the world, this strategic function serves as a lynchpin between sales, marketing, and product.
This role has a broad remit (and the support required) to drive transformational change within Gympass - accelerating deal cycles, eliminating technical concerns, driving clarity on integration to Gympass, overcoming technical questions, and surfacing the value Gympass has brought to similar organizations. This person will play an essential role in increasing sales across all of our solutions, regions, and market segments. As a member of the Revenue Leadership team, you will interact with peers who run sales regions and segments who are enthusiastic about our development in this area. You will lead teams that work on value engineering, professional services, and covering presales. With our VP of Product Marketing and our Engineering Product Managers, you will work as a trusted partner as we develop our product and GTM messaging in accordance with the breadth of experience your team provides. You will be a part of a top-tier sales team that consistently turns in record-breaking quarters and is continuing to gain momentum. Working with one of the most collaborative teams in the industry, you'll be challenged every day to think of innovative ways to enhance and scale the technical and value-based components of Gympass' GTM around the world.
YOUR IMPACT
  • Driving a global pre-sales organization to more efficient scale, and equipping the sales organization to effectively position our technical differentiation
  • Gather, comprehend, and define business processes and needs in collaboration with customers' technology teams in order to achieve the greatest possible connections between the Gympas platform and the client's systems.
  • Work with our products organization to develop our APIs that are responsive to customer feedback and sales prioritization based on actual customer needs, in order to understand our technical differentiation and make it tangible for customers, gather customer insights on value and preferences to shape our product evolution, and represent our world-class security and support our continued evolution in this area
  • Work with our marketing organization to evolve our value-based messaging across all of our customer-facing surfaces, ensure that our technical differentiation is embedded in the core customer-facing messaging and build new assets to respond to typical customer inquiries, and support the creation and delivery of business value deliverables to customer CXO roles
  • Develop a value engineering mentality and competence within the organization to:
    • Carry out value-based activities during the sales cycle to encourage customer adoption and retention to ensure successful value realization throughout the Gympass journey,
    • Assist in the development of models to analyze the businesses of chosen clients and prospects (10ks, etc.) and to create value propositions that highlight the quantitative and qualitative contributions Gympass can make to their business. In addition, develop lookback value realization studies (and use existing ones) that highlight the business outcomes made possible by Gympass.
    • Encourage the creation of new valuable assets, resources, and marketing materials to advance Gympass's operations.
    • Improve value-based selling by educating the Gympass sales staff on best practices for value engineering
    • Value realization: To assist clients in demonstrating returns on their investments, a focus should be placed on success KPIs, diagnostic and process metrics, and quantifiable success stories. Common value language and metrics should also be used during the sales cycle, during implementation, and after go-live.
  • Drive system enhancements that support our sales organization productivity, reporting capabilities, and collaboration to completion
  • Participate and conduct meetings with stakeholders to align with the Gympass platform capabilities and project releases, participate in system development, user acceptance testing, and end-user training
  • Support efforts to grow the platform through new applications and technology as needed
  • Deliver scalable, high-quality solutions supporting the sales organization while utilizing and promoting best practices
  • Obtain a comprehensive overview of the features and functions offered by the Gympass product as well as those that have previously been implemented at key clients
  • Serve as the global technical sales exec for the executive leadership team as well as for key strategic clients
  • Organize team to find and resolve issues with the Gympass platform's integration, activation, and implementation
  • Assist the team in developing their abilities to evaluate the technical requirements and capabilities of clients during both pre-and post-sales engagements
  • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and encourage incredibly quick response times
  • Support the team in engineering, recording and documenting solutions to common and difficult integration problems
  • Discover, put into practice, and impart best practices for setting up the Gympass technology platform
  • Review the documents related to information security and other compliance in order to share them with clients

WHO YOU ARE
  • 10+ years of demonstrated expertise in large-scale technology ecosystem implementation, integration, and support during presales engagements
  • Current knowledge of key platforms and technologies for enterprise business systems
  • Strong presentation, communication (written and verbal) skills, and interpersonal skills to be able to present and engage with clients
  • Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Drive and desire to learn and grow both technical and business skill sets
  • Thorough understanding of integration concepts, methodologies, and technologies
  • A track record of success using analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to communicate complicated systems and technical concepts utilizing oral, written, and visual presentations to people who may have little to no technical understanding.

In New York, California, Colorado, Massachusetts, and Washington, the annual base salary range for this role is USD $201,600 - $252,000. The base salary range for other locations may vary. Actual base salary will be dependent on geographic location, relevant experience, skills, qualifications and/or other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan, and our performance-based stock option program.
