This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a VP, Human Resources in the United States.

The VP, Human Resources will serve as a strategic partner to the regional senior leadership team, guiding HR initiatives across multiple sites and supporting enterprise-wide objectives. This role oversees talent development, succession planning, performance management, and compliance while fostering a high-performing, inclusive workplace culture. The VP will provide leadership to HR teams, offer consultation to functional leaders, and ensure alignment of people strategies with business goals. The position requires both strategic vision and operational execution, including experience in union and non-union environments, employee relations, and HR policy implementation. The successful candidate will influence organizational culture, drive workforce engagement, and support business growth through innovative HR practices. This role involves moderate travel within the region to partner sites.

Accountabilities

  • Partner with regional leaders to implement corporate, market, and regional HR strategies effectively.
  • Oversee talent development, including mentoring, coaching, training, and succession planning for high-potential employees.
  • Manage performance review processes, providing guidance to leaders on evaluations, feedback, and development plans.
  • Address employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary programs, investigations, and participation in union negotiations where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Provide guidance and day-to-day support to HR staff, offering proactive solutions and escalation management.
  • Oversee benefits, compensation programs, and training initiatives for associates and leadership teams.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
    • 7+ years of strategic HR leadership experience, ideally in multi-site operations; 10+ years preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
    • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, including motivating, developing, and directing teams.
    • Experience with performance management, talent development, succession planning, and HR operations.
    • Excellent consultative, presentation, negotiation, and business communication skills.
    • Preferred: experience with Workday and professional HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
    • Ability to travel regionally 1–3 times per month.
