Position Summary:
We are looking for an accomplished and dynamic Vice President of Human Resources who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience in the telecommunications industry, with a strong track record of managing and developing HR teams, driving strategic HR initiatives, and aligning human resources with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives. Provide leadership and guidance on organizational development, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and retention.
2. Talent Management: Oversee all aspects of talent management, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning. Ensure a diverse and inclusive workforce that supports the company's growth.
3. Employee Engagement: Lead efforts to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, promoting employee engagement and well-being. Implement programs and initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
4. Compensation and Benefits: Manage the design and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent. Ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
5. Payroll and HRIS Oversight: Provide leadership and strategic oversight of the payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees.
6. HR Compliance: Stay up-to-date with labor laws and regulations, ensuring the company's HR policies and practices remain compliant. Mitigate risks related to HR legal matters and labor relations.
7. Organizational Development: Drive initiatives for leadership development, training, and employee skill development. Enhance our organization's capabilities to meet current and future business needs.
8. HR Metrics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track HR department performance and make data-driven decisions to improve HR processes and practices.
9. Budget Management: Develop and manage the HR department budget efficiently, optimizing resources while delivering high-quality HR services.
10. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team, fostering a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree in HR or an MBA is preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Proven leadership experience in HR management, with a track record of developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
Benefits and Compensation:
FirstLight offers a competitive benefits package including a comprehensive medical benefits, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, 401(k) and flexible work arrangements.
Estimated base annual salary is anticipated to be between $125,000 and $175,000. Pay ranges represent a good faith annual estimate at the time of the job posting. Actual pay will be based on multiple factors including experience, skill sets, location, internal equity, and market rates.
