VP Innovations

Responsibilities:

• Direct & oversee the research & development of new methodologies & categories, research products & client programs.

• Manage general activities of team, appoint roles, assign & delegate responsibilities across multiple accounts.

• Direct & coordinate proof of value studies, use case definition and the structuring of research / data queries, taxonomy creation & optimization of existing data assets.

• Identify ways to codify and integrate research products into client businesses & internal processes.

• Analyze consumer & social data to identify opportunities and risks for clients.

• Prepare strategic recommendations in the support of client business activities, outbound marketing & sales development.

• Direct and coordinate the Creative team in support of branding, communications & marketing.

Qualifications: THIS POSITION REQUIRES A BACHELOR’S DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN MARKETING, RESEARCH, BUSINESS OR IN A CLOSELY RELATED FIELD, PLUS 8 YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE IN INSIGHT & INNOVATION OR IN A CLOSELY RELATED OCCUPATION.

Special Requirements:

REQUIRED EXPERTISE/KNOWLEDGE OF:

1. Invention & optimization of products, methodologies and processes for the Research & Innovation industries
2. Operationalizing mixed methodologies & disparate data-sources to answer complex challenges for Research & Innovation clients
3. Combining graphic design & robust research methodologies to simplify complex research & data for clients and prospects
4. Identify scalable commercial opportunities across new and existing categories
5. Ensure relevance of strategic recommendations across multiple markets, audiences and stakeholders groups
6. Codification & integration of research and design-led products, programs and deliverables.

MUST POSSESS EXPERTISE/ KNOWLEDGE SUFFICIENT TO ADEQUATELY PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB BEING OFFERED. EXPERTISE/ KNOWLEDGE MAY BE GAINED THROUGH EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE OR EDUCATION. SUCH EXPERTISE/ KNOWLEDGE CANNOT BE "QUANTIFIED" BY "TIME."

*TELECOMMUTING/TELEWORK: Hybrid work permitted – may WFH when not working from Black Swan LA office.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Up to 20% travel required to client sites in the United States.
