Head of IT & Operations for Delegated Authority & Underwriting Controls
Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:
- Leadership of Profisee Implementation: Oversee the initial implementation and provide ongoing strategic management of the Profisee data management platform within the Delegated Authority team. Collaborate with Profisee data engineers, business data stewards, the Delegated Authority Data Analytics team, and Core Specialty’s IT Data Technology team to ensure seamless alignment and successful execution.
- Core Data Environment (CDE) Integration: Manage the integration of Delegated Authority data into the CDE, ensuring accurate and efficient data processing while maintaining data quality and completeness.
- Program Scorecard in Corporate Viewer: Enhance program business visibility by ensuring Scorecard-level data is readily accessible within the Corporate Viewer, coordinating with data engineering teams to integrate and present key performance metrics effectively.
- Medical Stop Loss (MSL) Data & Workflow Enhancements: Lead the enhancement of data and workflow processes within the MSL business, including CDE integration. Drive the development of MSL-specific KPI metrics and their integration into the Scorecard within the Corporate Viewer, improving visibility and performance tracking for the MSL business.
- IT & Operational Assessments for New Programs: Conduct IT and operational assessments as part of the due diligence process for new programs, providing strategic recommendations to align initiatives with business objectives and IT capabilities.
- Data Governance and Documentation: Establish and oversee the creation of data dictionaries for each program and division associated with Delegated Authority, ensuring consistent data governance practices across the business unit.
- Non-Program Division Integration: Oversee the seamless integration of data from acquired companies or new business units into existing systems and Scorecard in Corporate Viewer. This involves resolving data conflicts and ensuring that the integrated data adheres to the organization’s standards, maintaining consistency and data integrity across the enterprise.
- API Utilization for Data Reporting: Oversee the development and implementation of API solutions for program data reporting and submission clearance, ensuring alignment with business needs and enhanced operational efficiency.

Support for Underwriting Compliance Initiatives: Collaborate with the Underwriting Compliance team on key projects, including the modernization of the Forms Library through the 2.0 initiative and the integration of Underwriting Authority Letters into Workday. Leverage relevant technologies to align these initiatives with IT infrastructure and operational strategies, optimizing workflow efficiency and compliance accuracy.
Technical Knowledge and Understanding:
- Strong expertise in data integration, data quality management, and data governance within an insurance context, with a focus on leveraging technology to drive operational efficiency.
- Proficient in identifying and mitigating risks associated with IT and operational processes, with a focus on data quality and cybersecurity.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and operations, particularly in relation to data management platforms and API integrations.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
Experience:
- Extensive experience in a leadership role within IT or Operations, with a focus on data management and integration.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex IT projects, post-acquisition integrations, and operational transformations in a fast-paced business environment.

Strong ability to collaborate with IT teams, business units, and senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure technology solutions align with business objectives.
