VP, Managed Services (Hybrid)

Vestmark is looking to add a leader of the Managed Services team who is highly motivated with solid technical background and business operations. You will be leading the team responsible for hosting VestmarkONE platform to our clients. You will be a strategic leader with a mission to improve our hosting services to our internal and external customers. You will proactively and holistically help guide the company through transformation and optimization initiatives. As the head of the Managed Services team you will be key contributor to optimize current hosting spend and mitigating risks. You will be responsible to represent Vestmark's hosting infrastructure to existing clients and prospects. This position is for a leader with a passion for innovation, collaboration, ability to deal with ambiguity and an ability to influence broadly. This leader will focus on understanding and applying existing, new and emerging technologies to transform and optimize business and operating models. You will help business leaders facilitate the decision-making process and provide actionable recommendations on initiatives and policies to help the organization drive targeted business outcomes. 

You have proven past experiences in managing a good balance of knowing the business demands and leading the product hosting teams, and demonstrate soft skills, good communication and presentation abilities & competencies. You will have 2-3 direct reports and a total team that is roughly 20+ individuals, including managers and some senior domain experts.

Responsibilities:

• Leader of the entire hosting infrastructure for VestmarkONE suite of products
• Evaluate business needs and priorities with executive management and lead the advancement of managed services to our clients
• Manage large-scale strategic and architectural initiatives
• Own the vision for improving the quality of hosting VestmarkONE suite of products including optimizing the spend
• Strong understanding of strategic planning techniques and principals
• Partner with key stakeholders in engineering, client delivery, client operations and finance to achieve business goals
• Decision maker of the internal change management, advisory and outage review boards and partner with other board members to improve the services offered to our customers
• Construct a technology-enabled business and operating model and provides viable options and visibility into execution issues
• Identify critical skills, competencies and career paths for VMS team members and identify training to help them develop and progress in their careers
• Track and apply innovative technologies, anchoring them in the business and operating model to assess their potential, and use agile, DevOps and lean approaches to evolve and manage innovation
• Ensure customer and employee satisfaction

Basic Qualifications:

• 15+ years of managing enterprise SaaS hosting development and operations, performing definition and implementation of enterprise solutions using a leading software and hardware platforms
• 10+ years senior leadership experience leading teams & organizations
• Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline or equivalent experience
• Proficient at demonstrating the ability to lead and influence across multiple levels of the organization and with internal and external team members
• Expert knowledge of project management including budget & resource management
• In-depth experience with vendor facilitation, management and partnering
• Broad experience in estimating, cost / benefit analysis, ROI, needs analysis, project scheduling, evaluation techniques
• Strong leadership, technical and analytical skills. Ability to lead highly skilled group of IT professionals
• Excellent written, verbal, communication, influencing / negotiation skills and presentation skills to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in engineering, management or equivalent experience
• Experience with systems administration, cybersecurity, network administration and system architecture
• Ability to manage the team remotely and assist the daily task execution, project planning and reporting
• Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and ITIL frameworks
• Prior experience in managing financial SaaS product

The Team: 

The Vestmark Managed Services Team is dedicated to the daily operation of hosting the VestmarkONE Platform and its supporting infrastructure in data center and AWS. The team is responsible for the design, provisioning, monitoring, and operations of infrastructure, networks, and databases to support the VestmarkONE SaaS Platform. The team offers a great opportunity to experience a wide range of technologies and challenges as we strive to provide best in class hosted services to our growing customer base. Scalability, Security, and Disaster Recovery are the fundamental challenges the team takes on every day. 

VestmarkONE product runs on enterprise infrastructure in the datacenter that is a combination of HPE servers and storage (3PARs, Primera, Greenlake) and Cisco networking (ACI, ASA). The environment primarily runs on Windows OS with SQL server as the backend database. The cloud environment hosts VestmarkONE product on AWS EC2, and SQL Server RDS.
