SUMMARY
The VP, Marketing plans and directs an organization's marketing policies, objectives, and initiatives. Provides overall vision, leadership, strategy, and execution of all marketing programs and initiatives of the organization. Develops an end-to-end marketing function that delivers messaging, branding, digital presence, product support, demand generation, content, research, and thought leadership. Partners with line of business leaders to ensure marketing programs and advertising expenditures support company revenue and growth objectives. Builds and develops the teams and technology required to collect, test, measure, and analyze marketing metrics necessary to identify trends in the marketplace, program effectiveness, and consumer behavior.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
MBA or bachelor's degree degree in Business, Marketing or other related field required
Experience
- Minimum of 15 years of industry-related experiene including 5 years of leadership experience leading a marketing team.
- 3-5+ years executive level leadership with responsibility across multiple regions (North and South America, EMEA, APAC) preferred.
- Experience designing and successfully implementing marketing processes that produce growth while minimizing risk.
- Experience transforming a marketing organization into a highly performing team.
- Must have experience as an active and influential member of a senior leadership committee.
- Must be a strategic thought leader that can see the big picture, establish vision, and articulate a strong plan of execution.
- Demonstrated ability to create, set, and achieve strategic initiatives that specifically align with organizational goals.
- Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to distill complex situations into actionable items.
- Must possess an open, collaborative working style that thrives in a global, cross-functional, matrix team environment.
- A track record of high achievement, meeting/exceeding goals and driving results is required.
- The ability to inspire, lead and motivate is imperative.
- Skilled at designing and using KPI's to provide actionable insights about the business
- Experience assessing acquisitions and integrating marketing functions post acquisition.

- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally and have a valid driver's license and passport.
- Live within a commutable driving distance of the Eagan, MN headquarters preferred or willingness to travel to headquarters a substantial amount of time.
Knowledge and Skills
- MS Office Suite proficiency with ability to develop client-ready presentations in PowerPoint and conduct basic database tasks in Excel

Develop and Implement Marketing Strategy
- Collaborate with leadership to develop comprehensive marketing strategies, crafting compelling narratives that align with business objectives and resonate with target markets. Collaborate with the sales leadership to understand their needs and challenges.
- Develop and implement sales enablement programs, tools, and resources to empower the sales team. Ensure alignment between marketing initiatives and sales objectives to maximize revenue generation.
- Oversee the development and launch of new products, crafting and implementing strategic go-to-market plans that maximize visibility and consumer engagement.
- Identify market opportunities, target segments and audiences, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business growth.
- Direct the company's digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, and content marketing, to drive online traffic and improve customer conversion rates.
- Track campaign success and ensure a strong ROI.
- Coordinate the sharing of assets and projects within the region and globally.
Team Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with agencies, vendors, and media, leveraging these connections to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Supervise and provide leadership to the regional and local marketing teams, ensure clear communication, defined roles, and a collaborative work environment.
- Work closely with regional marketing teams to utilize common approaches.
- Oversee the development of initiatives to ensure high engagement and ROI, including customer acquisition and retention strategies that ensure sustained future growth.
- Coordinate performance evaluations, set goals, and offer professional development opportunities to team members and direct reports.
Brand Management
- Ensure consistent brand representation across all marketing channels, maintain guidelines and corporate identity standards in close cooperation with global brand management.
- Support deployment of global, regional and local brand campaigns.
Program & Campaign, Planning and Execution
- Plan, execute, and monitor multi-channel marketing campaigns, including online and offline channels, events, and partnerships.
- Analyze campaign performance data and optimize strategies for better results.
- Develop and communicate a customer journey process that imparts transparency to the sales teams and management.
- Collaborate with channel partners on joint marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Identify and manage relationships with external marketing agencies to supplement in-house capabilities.
- Work closely with agencies to ensure the effective execution of marketing campaigns.
- Monitor and optimize agency performance to achieve the best results.
Budget Management
- Assist regional and local marketing teams in creating uniform budget processes.
- Coordinate budget allocation processes at the regional level for the regional marketing plan. Manage and implement the same at the local level.
Collaboration
- Be the major contact for the region for all marketing areas. Work closely with Sales, Channel and Business Development teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives.
- Collaborate with global marketing teams to leverage best practices and share regional insights.
Performance Measurement and Reporting
- Design, track and analyze marketing performance metrics, present regular reports to senior management. Use data to make decisions and continuously improve marketing strategies.
