What you’ll do
We are looking for a Vice President of Marketing to own our internal and external product marketing narrative and strategy. This person will be responsible for driving our overall narrative both from a strategic as well as technical perspective. Technical chops are incredibly important for this role. As Skipify grows, this person will have the opportunity to build out a PMM team to continue to nurture the product throughout its lifecycle.
This role will also serve a broader purpose of building out industry relationships for Skipify and be a thought leader in the industry helping to evangelize Skipify’s development philosophy and promote our product philosophy and values. Responsibilities
- Work with Product and Engineering teams to define and launch our roadmap and with Marketing and Sales teams to drive awareness, consideration, and adoption across the spectrum, from startups to the world’s largest digital platforms
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams to tell the Skipify story across the industry and help customers find the best solutions for their needs
- Develop targeted messaging and positioning informed by user research, market insights, and product understanding
- Run successful GTMs for new products and features, ensuring effective launches that maximize our impact
- Work closely with a range of cross-functional teams—product managers, engineering, design, UX research, other marketers—to develop compelling collateral for both internal and external consumption; as well as develop go-to-market strategy and drive launches for our products
- Develop key messaging and value propositions for our suite of products, and build sales enablement collateral to effectively scale our sales teams
- Work closely with a range of cross-functional teams—product managers, sales, design, PR, and engineering—to build comprehensive marketing plans to increase awareness across existing and potential customers
- Ensure our internal teams are adequately equipped to bring the Skipify vision and product to the outside world.
Who you are
- 10+ years of experience including business strategy & product marketing
- This is a writing-intensive role, and the bar for your writing is high: you’ll write crisp, vivid prose, with confident control over voice and tone
- Ability to articulate ecommerce technology and drive broader strategy / narrative is required
- Strong Technical / B2B marketing experience required
- We’re looking for strong problem solvers who also have experience building organizations
- Background in ecommerce or payments is a plus

Salary range for this role is $220,000 - $275,000/yr USD. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to, skillset, depth of experience, certifications, and work locations. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plan.
